Each Hell's Kitchen season features two teams of chefs, who are all competing to become the head chef of one of Ramsay's restaurants. Roblox Brings Hell's Kitchen to Life, But With a Twist
Developed by Metavision Studios, Roblox partnered with ITV to officially bring the popular kitchen competition to fans. Hell's Kitchen has already amassed over 20 million players, with a daily average of 450,000 active players, since it launched in December 2024, making it one of the most popular games on Roblox right now. In a press release, Ashley Lewis, Metavision Managing Director, said that Roblox's Hell's Kitchen offers fans "a fresh way to engage with the brand and create their own culinary adventures."
Just like the show, players are divided into two teams of eight to participate in various challenges, from cooking dishes to serving guests in a restaurant. They are guided by a Roblox version of Gordon Ramsay, who's voiced by the chef himself. For an added twist, players will run around the kitchen and pantry to find ingredients and the prep stations have Cooking Mama-style mini-games when chopping vegetables and getting pots to the right temperature. Players can also collect coins in the guest room or via Hell's Kitchen codes that they can use to buy boosters and traps for enemy teams.
It's worth noting that Ramsay in Roblox's Hell's Kitchen is relatively tame compared to his usual tough personality in the show. He's not shouting, cursing, or calling contestants an "idiot sandwich" when they make mistakes. Longtime Hell's Kitchen fans might find this disappointing, especially if they're expecting a 1:1 experience of the show. Still, Roblox has many young players, so it makes sense that it kept Hell's Kitchen PG for everyone to enjoy. Ramsay also expresses disappointment when a dish isn't up to par, but he's not angry or mean about the failure.

Following the massive success of Hell's Kitchen on Roblox, Lewis teased that Metavision has an exciting 2025 roadmap to improve the game's experience further. She didn't specify the new features that would be added, but if the original Hell's Kitchen show is any indication, it's possible that more service challenges will be added, like making dishes for a food truck and events planning. Of course, new recipes are also likely to diversify Hell's Kitchen's menu items. Perhaps it could also introduce chef cosmetics, which can be obtained using in-game currency or codes, to add more personality to players' avatars while trying to impress Roblox Ramsay.
Hell's Kitchen is just one of many franchises that's been featured in Roblox. Home to over 40 million games created by a robust community of developers, many fans of all ages spend a lot of time exploring titles that actually have interesting mechanics, while also interacting with other players. It's become a platform for creativity for aspiring video game developers and designers, as they showcase their vision with their original games, with reimagining popular franchises being one particularly successful route gamers have taken.
