Reddit user Rotting_Awake8867 recovered their Roblox account created on October 16, 2008. They say that "after years of trying to get in," they finally remembered their password. Happy and nostalgic to finally have access to their old account, the player shared some screenshots showing badges of achievements, such as adding more than 20 friends. The player also showed off a significant variety of cosmetics accumulated over the years, including an item reminiscent of the popular mask worn by Jason Voorhees.
Roblox Player Recovers Old Account After Years of Perseverance
In addition to regaining access to the old account, the player has recovered their progress in several Roblox games, such as Heli-Wars: Desert Attack, Yoricks Resting Place, and The Adio Skatepark. They said in the comments that before this they had made numerous unsuccessful attempts to contact Roblox support, even though they had proof such as their name on the account, emails sent over the years, the group created with their elementary school friends, and interactions with their siblings' accounts. Relieved that they hadn't been hacked, the Roblox player said they had activated two-factor authentication and changed their password to ensure security and access to their account.
Now with access to their old account, Rotting_Awake8867 can play not only their favorite games but also new experiences, including the recently released crossover between Roblox and Beetlejuice. Named Beetlejuice: Escape the Afterlife, the mini-game invites players to save Astrid, Lydia, and Delia from the afterlife. According to the official announcement, the mini-game is not only a collaboration to promote the upcoming movie Beetlejuice 2 in Roblox, but also the first time a studio uses the platform to sell tickets for a movie.
