From the get-go, EA and Final Strike Games have pitched their hero-shooter game Rocket Arena as a live service, which includes a regular stream of new content and live events. Now Rocket Arena has kicked off its limited-time Blast in Paradise event, which will be live in the game until August 26.

The new Rocket Arena event is just the latest major development in Season 1, adding two new maps in the form of Grand Harbor and Lagoon of Doom. These new maps are the main attraction for the Blast in Paradise event, but players can also unlock exclusive rewards by logging in on consecutive days. There will also be a double XP event from August 14 to August 17 for Rocket Arena fans to take advantage of and better level up their characters.

The special Blast in Paradise playlists will only be available while the event is live, but Rocket Arena fans don't have to worry about losing access to Grand Harbor and Lagoon of Doom. The two new Rocket Arena maps are a permanent addition to the game, so they will still be available to play in even after the Blast in Paradise event ends.

Looking ahead, there are even more Rocket Arena events for fans to look forward to later in Season 1. These include Crystal Reef Mythic (centered around the character Amphora), Runaway Megadon, and Fort Rocket Mythic (centered around Topnotch). Rocket Arena Season 2 is also in the works, and is expected to add even more new maps and a new character to the game's growing roster.

Rocket Arena is out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
