The new version of GTA 6's website once again makes it clear that PC gamers will unfortunately have the longest wait ahead of them. While PS5 and Xbox Series X/S users have known that GTA 6 will be available immediately, PC fans have no clear timeline for a port. While GTA 5 was originally released back in September 2013, the PC version didn't arrive until April 2015. If Rockstar is planning a similar timeline, then PC users who have been eagerly been awaiting GTA 6 may have a grueling road of waiting on the horizon, since it could be 2027 or 2028 before the game is ported.
While Rockstar has adjusted GTA 6's site to reflect the new launch date, the rest of the web page remains the same. Fans can scroll through the pages to find out more information about Vice City, Jason and Lucia's lives, confirmed map locations, and the many side characters that help make up the story.
The news of the game's delay comes just a week after Rockstar fired multiple GTA 6 developers. Accusations of union busting and protests from employees affected by the firings have put the company in hot water, but according to insider Jason Schreier, this delay has nothing to do with the recent firings. It's unfortunate that the wait for GTA 6 has grown even longer, but it hopefully means the game will be even stronger at launch.
