However, it has been reported that the script isn't complete, despite how many actors are going to be involved in this crossover multiverse movie.

Avengers: Doomsday is a monumental project for Marvel Studios to have taken following all of the chaos that came with pivoting away from the original Avengers: Kang Dynasty plans, and it appears that it is all catching up with them. Work is underway, and filming has started for Avengers: Doomsday, but there could still be some significant twists due to the reported reason why the script isn't finished.

According to John Rocha, the reason why the Avengers: Doomsday script isn't finished is because Marvel Studios haven't closed all the deals with all of the people who are set to appear in it. That means that Marvel will have to work around potential changes if those actors don't end up signing on to appear in the film, which could lead to a chaotic filming schedule for the Russo Brothers to work around. It's a rare lack of organization within Marvel Studios, which is the complete opposite of what people have been used to for this franchise since it launched.

Marvel proudly announced the cast in a five-hour-long livestream several weeks ago, which confirmed some of the biggest names in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, alongside several surprises such as various original X-Men actors. It's unknown at this point whether or not those are actors who haven't officially signed on or if it's others who are currently unannounced. Marvel has teased that more names are expected to be revealed, therefore, it would make sense that they weren't part of the initial release if they have yet to confirm their availability and sign on the dotted line.

Filming has begun today in London, England, with the Russo Brothers sharing a chair for Robert Downey Jr's Victor Von Doom, seemingly confirming that he is on set for day one of production, but it's unclear who else is on set. Kevin Feige also revealed during a press conference for Thunderbolts* that Florence Pugh had completed her pre-photography for Avengers: Doomsday, which confirms that she will also be part of the movie. However, it's unlikely that she's already on set, as the cast is heavily promoting Thunderbolts* right now.

It's a situation that Marvel Studios will want to quickly resolve for multiple reasons. Firstly, it's not a good look for them from a professional perspective to have people sharing this news. But most importantly, it runs the risk of harming the quality of Avengers: Doomsday. The script is being put together while the movie is being filmed, with the Russo Brothers unsure which actors they will have available, making this an almost impossible situation to navigate. Given how important Avengers: Doomsday is going to be to the entire franchise with the story that is being told and the number of stars involved, this needs to be wrapped up soon.
