Coarse Thread is one of the most important materials players can make in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, and that's because it can be used to craft various essential items like armor and weapons. It's incredibly easy to craft, and players can obtain it at the beginning of their journey.
Like most other materials, threads need a certain structure to be created as well as a specific ingredient. Luckily, everything you will need can be located near Bramblemead village, so you don't have to explore a high-level area just yet. Here's how to unlock Spinning Wheel and get Threads in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
RuneScape: Dragonwilds - How To Get Clean Water
Drinking clean water is an important aspect of surviving the forgotten continent of Ashenfall in RuneScape: Dragonwilds.
How To Make A Spinning Wheel In RuneScape: Dragonwilds
The Spinning Wheel is the tool players need to make threads. You unlock its recipe after picking up a Flax plant in the wild, which are the blue flowers scattered around Bramblemead Valley. Once you unlock the recipe for the Spinning Wheel, collect the following ingredients to build it:
- Ash Logs x12: Use an axe or spells to cut down Ash Trees found all over the map, or simply pick them up from the ground.
- Flax x4: Collect the blue flowers mostly found near Bramblemead Valley.
- Stone x2: Use a pickaxe or spells to mine boulders found all over the map, or pick them up from the ground.
However, keep in mind that the Spinning Wheel in RuneScape: Dragonwilds can only work if it's inside a room with a roof above it. So, after you build the shelter and place a roof to use the bedroll to rest, put the Spinning Wheel inside as well to use it.
How To Make Threads In RuneScape: Dragonwilds
To make threads in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, you need to place Flax or Coarse Animal Fur inside the Spinning Wheel after you craft it. Flax is a blue flower that is picked from the grounds of the forest. It's not found as abundantly as other materials like stone and wood, but there is still a lot scattered around. As for the Coarse Animal Fur, it's dropped from various animals when hunting. It's best to use the former to craft the threads, as you need three of the latter to make one thread.
To easily gather some Flax, head to Bramblemead Valley and look around the destroyed ruins where the goblins were camping. The blue flowers should be found there easily. Place as many as you need in the Spinning Wheel and wait for it to craft some threads, which coincidentally also unlocks the Bow recipe.
