Although you can explore Bloodblight Swamp freely when walking around Ashenfall in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, it will be difficult to do so as the entire region is poisonous and will inflict heavy, continuous damage to players unless they come prepared. Upon approaching the entrance of the Bloodblight Swamp, you can immediately see a thick green fog surrounding the area, which is the poison you want to avoid.

Unfortunately, at some point in RuneScape: Dragonwilds, players must venture inside the Bloodblight Swamp and retrieve a crucial material that is required to progress the main quest. Since the poison fog will quickly deplete health and kill players, they need to find another way to explore the area safely.

Staff of Light not only demands RuneScape: Dragonwilds players to get specific materials, but also requires a quest completion to get its recipe.

How To Explore Bloodblight Swamp In RuneScape: Dragonwilds

Players need to cook Antipoison Potion to explore the Bloodblight Swamp freely. The area is located northeast of the Bramblemead Valley. You need to go through the Whispering Swamp and some of the Fractured Plains to reach the Bloodblight Swamp. Be careful as both areas are filled with dangerous enemies, so make sure to explore carefully, find the correct materials, and craft better equipment before exploring thoroughly.

Once you arrive at the entrance of the Bloodblight Swamp, try to place a Lodestone in RuneScape: Dragonwilds and fast travel back to camp to prepare for the exploration of the swamp. To craft the Antipoison Potion, players will need to collect the following ingredients:

  • Harralander x1: A greenish-blue plant found scattered around the Whispering Swamp.
  • Bittercap Mushroom x1: A small red mushroom also located in the Whispering Swamp. A lot can be gathered from a cave located northwest of the area and another located southwest.
  • Clay Vessel x1: Collect Clay by destroying Clay rocks in the swamp and then use a Pottery Wheel to make a vessel. Harden it using another structure in RuneScape: Dragonwilds called Kiln.

After gathering a lot of the previously mentioned materials, as you will need more than one, craft the Brewing Cauldron and combine the materials together to make the Antipoison Potion. Make sure to burn some wood using the Kiln to make charcoal, as you will need it to use the cauldron.

After you're done brewing as many potions as you can, head back to the Bloodblight Swamp and drink the potion before entering to gain 300 seconds of poison resistance. While exploring the swamp, make sure to keep an eye on the effect duration found at the bottom left screen and immediately drink another potion when the effect is about to end. Sadly, the potion's protection can't be prolonged using the Internal Alchemy spell.
