The first two days will be focused on fans, with panels for many series, while the last two days are focused on business. AnimeJapan is the biggest event for Japanese animation fans and also for the industry, as many deals are probably closed or at least presented there.

When Is Sakamoto Days Part 2 Coming Out?

So far, Part 2 is only scheduled for July 2025, and it's been confirmed it will air on Mondays at 12pm (JST) — the first part is airing on Saturdays, at 11pm.

As the first part has already been confirmed to run for 11 episodes, it will be dropping its last episode a few hours after the panel at AnimeJapan 2025 (given there are no delays), so it's likely they will announce the release date for the second cour and share a trailer.

Sakamoto Days Reception So Far

Sakamoto Days seems to be getting good attention on Netflix, but the manga fanbase is divided regarding the anime. Even before the series started airing, fans have been voicing concerns over the action scenes, which feel stiffer than they were expecting.

So, part of the fanbase is disappointed at the anime, but the other part enjoys it. Newcomers to the series, on the other hand, generally seem to like what they're watching.

The series hasn't yet ranked in the global weekly Netflix charts, in contrast to Dandadan (featured in the chart every week while airing), but it might still gain more attention among subscribers. Also, while it hasn't ranked in the charts globally, it might have topped it in specific countries.
