When it comes to open world games, they all tend to have similar mechanics to one another. One commonly seen mechanic is a tower that can be used to gain information about the area and fill out your map. Sand Land has this mechanic as well, but instead of climbing to the top of a tower, you must repair radio towers that you come across in order to use them. Since these radio towers reveal valuable information about the area, it is important to go out of your way to fix them.

Sand Land Review

Sand Land is a charming adventure with memorable characters and satisfying progression, but its open world is about as dry as its desert.

How Many Radio Towers Are There?

24 radio towers in total are scattered across the regions of Sand Land. The towers are widely spread out, so it can take some time to find them all. If you do manage to repair and activate all of the radio towers, you will unlock an achievement/trophy.

How To Fix Radio Towers

Once you find a radio tower, make sure you look around and loot the various chests scattered across the base. Once you've done that, look around for a console that is sparking. Early on when you are exploring the first couple of regions, fixing radio towers is pretty easy. For example, the Lisab Radio Tower only requires one B-Grade Meter and one B-Grade Bolt. However, as you go through the game and explore further regions, the materials will change.

Eventually, you will need to use parts like Standard Meter and Standard Bolt or Quality Meter and Quality Bolt to fix those towers. While the quality of the required material will change, the quantity needed does not. That way, you can fix radio towers while also still holding onto all the resources you will need for upgrading your vehicles.

What Information Does a Radio Towers Reveal

Once you have found and repaired a radio tower in Sand Land, your map will update. While it won't remove the fog over areas that you haven't explored yet, it will fill out your map significantly. Not only will you learn the locations of caves, cliffs, and ruins, but also, radio towers will reveal locations where side quests can be started.

This can be especially helpful since side quests are a great way to not only get upgrades for your vehicles, but this also brings more people to Spino. Anytime you see a radio tower, it is worth going out of your way for them.
