Coffee Stain Studios has released Satisfactory’s 1.1 Experimental Update v1.1.0.4, introducing new features, including fixes for the Conveyor Throughput Monitor and key improvements for Steam Deck users, among others. Satisfactory's 1.1 update reached the experimental branch on April 1, adding many upgrades, logistics options, and more—and now Coffee Stain Studios is fine-tuning some of its aspects.
Satisfactory was tremendously successful during its early access phase, and its popularity continued through its full launch, with its Steam reviews currently sitting at “Overwhelmingly Positive.” Players have praised many aspects of this first-person, open-world factory-building simulation game, especially its automation systems and engaging gameplay loop, which offers an interesting blend of first-person survival elements and factory-building mechanics, where players must colonize an alien planet. The game is currently available for PC via Steam and is “Playable” on the Steam Deck—meaning it's still not in its best state on the handheld console, though the latest update brings some new improvements for players on this platform.

In a Steam blog post, Coffee Stain Studios announced patch v1.1.0.4 following Satisfactory’s 1.1 Experimental update. As explained by the developer, the patch addresses issues related to the Conveyor Throughput Monitor breaking in certain scenarios, as many players saw it disappear when saving and loading the game. Some quality-of-life improvements have also been introduced, with the Personnel Elevator and Conveyor Wall Hole now both supporting Nudging.
Other important additions in update v1.1.0.4 include improvements to the Steam Deck version of the game. Those launching the game from the handheld console will now have Controller selected by default; moreover, the default Steam controller configuration has been changed to Gamepad with Camera Controls instead of Mouse and Keyboard. The developer also recommends that players experiencing issues with this setting switch to the suggested default config. The update also fixes a number of issues across several areas that affect Satisfactory's players while building their factories.
These bug fixes include solutions for cases where automatic blueprint connections would not copy customizations applied to the building they connect to, certain items displaying incorrectly, the Slide Jump height boost being incorrectly applied when jumping, and crashes related to building Railways and Train Stations/Platforms in multiplayer, among many other errors occurring during specific activities in Satisfactory. Coffee Stain Studios also made a small tweak based on player feedback to the narrative aspect, removing ADA commentary during regular building. Players can already experience the new changes, and the developer encourages them to report any potential issues that this new patch may introduce.
