Schedule 1 has released a new June 2025 update to its open beta branch, bringing a number of important employee bug fixes as well as a few additions and improvements. The latest Schedule 1 update is available to any player who has opted into the game's beta on Steam.

Schedule 1 has been the biggest gaming surprise of 2025. Despite still being in Early Access, it has taken the gaming world by storm with its addictive gameplay loop in which players rise to the top of a drug empire. Schedule 1 recently passed the eight million sales milestone, generating over $125 million in revenue. It is an awesome achievement, given the fact that TVGS comprises just one solo developer, Tyler. Despite the mammoth success, TVGS has remained committed to improving the game with every passing update.

Schedule 1 Faces a Case of Indie Game History Repeating Itself

Schedule 1 is one of 2025's most successful games, but unfortunately, it is suffering from a problem that many other indie titles have faced.

TVGS released the patch notes for the new Schedule 1 beta update on Steam. While it's a small update, some of the changes and fixes could still be important. In terms of new additions, TVGS has added various options to the new filter configuration menu. The recently added lockers for Schedule 1 employees now have slightly different colors depending on the type of assigned worker, which should make it easier for players to tell who is assigned where. There are some solid bug fixes, too, resolving a couple of bugs around employee behaviour.

In the post, solo developer Tyler apologized for the delay in the Schedule 1 update's release, revealed he had four wisdom teeth removed, and joked that he has "been more zoinked out than the residents of Hyland Point." The good news is that Tyler says he is "back on my feet now," and he hopes to get the full version of the v0.3.6 update released for all players "early this week." Only players who opted into the open beta branch on Steam can play this newly released patch.

As work continues to push Schedule 1 closer to a full release, fans shouldn't expect to see it come any time soon. According to TVGS, Schedule 1 is still two to three years away from leaving Early Access. While this might be disappointing news to some, the game is still already in a state where players can have plenty of fun with it, and it'll be very interesting to see its development continue for the foreseeable future.
