How to Make Botanists Work in Schedule 1

Managing a city-wide drug operation in Schedule 1 is hard, but luckily, you don't have to do everything by yourself. You can hire a variety of workers in the game, and this includes Botanists who will care for your plants in your stead.

Botanists will automatically sow and reap plants for players, giving them plenty of time to do other things. However, workers in Schedule 1 can be a little confusing to boss around. If you're wondering what to do with your Botanists, here's a short guide to help you out.

How to Use Botanists in Schedule 1

In order for your Botanist to start working, you'll need the following:

An unoccupied bed
A container with seeds and soil
Empty growing plots
A container for harvested buds

Step-By-Step Process To Assign & Use Botanists

Assign Botanist to bed.
Fill Botanist's suitcase with money (at least $200).
While holding your Management Clipboard, press E on your Botanist.
Assign Botanist to a supply shelf containing Soil and Seeds.
Assign Botanist to growing plots (Pots/Tents/Drying Racks).
Configure growing plots (choose what seeds and additives to use).
Set an output destination for each growing plot.

Detailed Guide To Assigning & Using Botanists

First, start by assigning your Botanist to a bed and filling the suitcase on it with money.

You need at least $200 before your Botanist starts working.

Next, hold your Management Clipboard and press E while looking at your Botanist. Here, you'll see all the stations you can assign to them. Start by assigning them to a supply shelf. This will serve as the source of your Botanist's seeds and soil. They'll have their own watering cans, so you won't need to worry about that.

After that, assign your Botanists to the growing plots that you want them to tend to. From the clipboard's management screen, click on Pots/Drying Rack, then left-click on an empty pot. Repeat this step as much as necessary until your Botanist runs out of slots.

At this point, your worker will start taking seeds/soil from the supply shelf and planting them in the growing plots you assigned them. Once the seeds mature, your Botanist will harvest the buds and store them in the container you marked as the Destination for each of your growing plots. From there, it's up to you or any Handler you've hired to package the weed.

Things to Know About Botanists

Like all workers, Botanists will work for as long as they have money in their suitcase.
All workers will stop working at 4AM.
Botanists leave a ton of trash behind. Consider hiring a Cleaner if possible.
Players will not gain any XP for crops harvested by Botanists.
