Schedule 1 is not a game that wastes any time holding your hand. It does have a tutorial section, but there are many things that it doesn’t tell the player when they embark on their entrepreneurship journey.
One thing that you might struggle with is removing items after you’ve already placed them. The game doesn’t give the player any indication of how to do that, though it gets revealed as players start to grow their business.

Skateboards are a great way to quickly get around the map in Schedule 1, and this guide answers some important questions about them.
How to Drop & Move Items in Schedule 1
To drop items from your inventory into the world, players need to select the item from the hotbar by pressing the associated key. If the item can be put into the world, they’ll get a holographic preview of what the item would look like in the spot the player is looking at.
If the holographic image is red, players cannot place that item there, usually because of space issues. Players can use Q and E to change the direction of the item. If that doesn't work, you might need to change your selection and reselect the desired item after you've appropriately oriented yourself. You can place items into the Storage by interacting with it and then sliding the tools you want to store into it.

How to Pick Up & Remove Items in Schedule 1
Removing and picking up items from the world into your inventory is a fairly simple process. However, there is no obvious prompt for the player to pick up items. You can pick up everything from product and trash to furniture and televisions.
- Large Items: Hover your cursor over the item, then click and hold the right mouse button. One piece of furniture, no matter how large, only takes up one space in your inventory or storage.
- Small Items: For smaller items, players can just interact with them to pick them up and place them in their inventory.
- Trash: You’ll need to equip a trash collector to pick up trash. You can also press the interact key and drag the trash to your desired location.
To remove an item from your inventory, players need to open their phone and drag the offending item to the red slot on the bottom right of the screen. This will destroy the item.
