Sea of Stars: Romaya Secret Passage Puzzle Guide

In the clean-up phase just before the end game of Sea of Stars, players have the opportunity to help one of the sadder characters in the game. The slave undead called Duke Aventry has been under the Necromancer Romaya's thumb for too long, and Hortence, the undead pirate, asks for Zale and Valere's help to free him.

In order to do so, players will need to infiltrate a place called Romaya's Secret Passage, a place that can only be reached on the map by flying. The puzzle outside is quite challenging, and some players might have some trouble figuring out how to get inside.

Romaya's Secret Passage in Sea of Stars

There is a series of spinning pillars outside of Romaya's Passage in Sea of Stars. When players spin them using the Mistral Bracelet, they can see that they have several choices of not only runes, but also colors of those runes. The secret to this location is in the Flooded Graveyard, so players will need to head back there to get the clues they need to get in.

The Answer in the Flooded Graveyard of Sea of Stars

In the upper-left-most corner of this map, players will find Duke Aventry wandering around, sad that he is missing is memories. Behind him will be a cave entrance; head inside this cave. There will be a couple of enemies in here to take on in Sea of Star's turn-based combat, but at this point in the game, they should be very, very easy. Kill them, then check out the runes on the back wall. They will look like this:

The first looks sort of like blades of grass in red, the second a broken triangle in green, and the third is a purple lightning bolt with a dot on the top left and one on the bottom right. Memorize how these look or take a screenshot of them; these are how the runes will need to look in front of the Secret Passage in order to get inside.

Head back to Romaya's Secret Passage and spin the three pillars with runes on them until they match the runes shown above. Then, spin the middle pillar until the colors match up properly. This will open the door to Romaya's Secret passage and allow players to continue on their quest to free Duke Aventry from the evil Necromancer in Sea of Stars.
