Exploring the depths of Elden Ring map and lore is always fruitful for curious Tarnished, and Shadow of the Erdtree does things similarly by inviting players to dive into its massive DLC map. It’s interesting that by strictly following the main story quest, you can miss more than half of the content available in Elden Ring DLC, which makes it an amazing game for your free time.
Speaking of interesting things in Elden Ring, the Stone Coffin Fissure is a very intriguing depth to dive into. When you first visit it, you’ll find it sealed by Miquella himself. Luckily, after certain events, you’ll get to explore it and unlock some of the secrets Miquella is hiding within.

Stone Coffin Fissure Location In Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree
Finding the Stone Coffin Fissure can be tricky since it’s hidden south of the Cerulean Coast, which is an optional region.
How To Reach Stone Coffin Fissure In Elden Ring Shadow Of The Erdtree
To reach the Stone Coffin Fissure cave in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree, start from the Cerulean Coast Site of Lost Grace and keep heading south following the road. There will be a Ghostflame Dragon Boss fight in the way. You can avoid it and keep moving.
Keep following the road until you reach a Giant hurling big Jars at you. Avoid them, or fight the Giant to stop them.
Eventually, you’ll reach this giant stone structure, which looks like an ancient coffin. Jump off it from the right side and continue your way until you reach a pit in the middle of the forest.
This pit looks empty, but it’s the only way to access Stone Coffin Fissure in Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree DLC. Keep descending from one cliff to another until you reach the bottom and find the Fissure Site of Lost Grace.
If you’re still in the early DLC timeline, the Stone Coffin Fissure will be sealed by Miquella and can’t be accessed until you come close to the Shadow Keep. When you reach the Shadow Keep, you’ll get a message stating somewhere a Great Rune has broken. After getting that notification, you can visit the Fissure Site of Grace again to access the Stone Coffin Fissure.
How To Reach Putrescent Knight In Stone Coffin Fissure
After you light the first Site of Lost Grace inside the Stone Coffin Fissure in Elden Ring, you can turn right to the southeast and keep going in that direction.
Once you reach a dead-end where it seems like it’s too high to jump, step on the edge of the last stone, and it will break, taking you down without any fall damage.
After you reach the lower area, there are many enemies there, so be careful, because it can get overwhelming easily. You can fight them, or skip them and run to the east to find the Fissure Cross Site of Lost Grace.
From the Fissure Cross Grace, head north to find multiple ancient coffins on top of each other, protected by many enemies. Your goal is to jump from one coffin to another to reach the end.
However, keep an eye out for some of the abnormal sphere-stone-looking enemies. They constantly shoot a laser beam that can be really hurtful if it keeps hitting.
Once you make it to the end, rest at the Fissure Waypoint Site of Lost Grace. From there, head northeast to find a couple of skeletons, defeat them, and make sure they stay down by hitting them again while they’re down. Keep moving northeast, and you’ll find a giant Slime. That’s your cue to switch your direction to the southeast.
Once you make it out, you’ll find a tough enemy. The Misbegotten creature will give you a hard fight, but it lacks defense, so be aggressive against it to beat it quickly. Once done, you need to move east by jumping from cliff-to-cliff to reach it.
Finally, you’ll unlock the last Site of Lost Grace before the boss fight in the Stone Coffin Fissure. After resting, go south and keep going until you reach a dead end. Once again, jump down to the unknown, to what seems like an endless fall, and you’ll end up landing in the Putrescent Knight’s boss fight.
