Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance has all sorts of new subquests for players to find and complete, no matter which Canon path they choose to pursue. One of the earlier subquests players will come across is given by the Hare of Inaba and is named Brawny Ambitions.

The Hare of Inaba wants to become a powerful demon and requests the player bring them a Zhu Tun She so that they can talk. Zhu Tun She is an early-game demon that players will be able to fuse or recruit right away as long as they know where to look.

How To Get Zhu Tun She In Shin Megami Tensei 5: Vengeance


Zhu Tun She is a level nine demon, so the Nahobino will also need to be that level before this demon can be obtained either through fusion or recruitment. For those wanting to fuse the demon, there are three potential combinations, all using demons obtained in the same region of the map as the Hare of Inaba was found.

  • Peallaidh + Gremlin
  • Peallaidh + Preta
  • Slime + Preta

As long as these demons have been recruited at some point and are in the compendium, the player can pay to summon them back to fuse them into the new demon. For those wanting to recruit the demon, it can be found wandering around in an alcove in the northern section of The Netherworld, on the cliff above the Hamamatsucho Leyline. Players will need to discover and use the Magatsu Rail using a navigator demon such as the Demon In Kimono. Three Zhu Tun She will spawn in the overworld in this area, with new ones spawning with every New Moon.

The Hare Of Inaba Meeting Zhu Tun She

After getting a Zhu Tun She and bringing it back to the Hare of Inaba, a short cutscene will play, and the quest will be completed. Players will earn 350 XP for the Nahobino and all demons, along with the Unwrit Order Periapt. When two demons with the Natural-Law alignment are in the party, they get access to the unique Magatsuhi skill Wellspring of Order. This ability greatly restores the party's HP even beyond their max health and gives an additional Press Turn icon for the next turn. Players can check the alignment of demons through the Analyze option in the main menu, selecting a demon, and selecting the Lore button in the bottom right of the screen, with the demon's alignment appearing in the top right of the screen.
