As players defeat Commander Honglan inside the Tang Emperor Palace, they will gain access to the Reverent Temple Key, which allows them to travel to Cloudspire and continue Wuchang's journey there. Upon arriving at the first Shrine located at Hillswatch, players will find a weeping lady who has a quest for them, alongside a stone door to the right of the elevator.

Wuchang: Fallen Feathers - Tempering, Explained

If you're having trouble with the difficult combat encounters in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, then the Tempering mechanic might help you out.

This Mysterious Door, similar to the one in Tang Emperor Palace, offers two choices, each with a different outcome. This guide offers information on what players can expect upon choosing one of the options in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers.

Should You Follow the Course of Destiny in Wuchang Fallen Feathers or Challenge the Threads of Fate (Hillswatch)?

The Mysterious Door is located very close to the Hillswatch Shrine, so even if you happened to miss it during your initial exploration of the area, you can easily return and look to the side of the elevator to spot it. Upon interacting with the gate, you will be presented with two distinct options:

  • Follow the course of destiny
  • Challenge the threads of fate

Selecting the first option in this Soulslike RPG will cause the gate to open, and a black fog will envelop and teleport the player to a scaffolding area, from where they can descend toward the Mort Grotto Shrine. It is important to note that this shrine is not exclusive to this choice, as players can reach it through normal means by slightly deviating from the main path. This essentially means that the first option grants early access to a location that will become available shortly after, making the choice relatively insignificant and not particularly worthwhile.

Choosing the second option, on the other hand, will open the door and provide access to the mine area that players previously traversed while making their way toward Cloudspire. This segment of the mine is a small, hidden section that cannot be accessed by any other means and contains two Soulslike collectible items for players to obtain. These items are:

  • Kong Wine ×1
  • Bridal Veil
  • Bridal Corset
  • Bridal Shackles
  • Bridal Dress

The Bridal Dress does not offer great physical damage reduction, but if players want to wear it for appearance alone, they can alter their outfits to make it work.
