With the Everdark Sovereign update in Elden Ring Nightreign, players can fight enhanced versions of a boss that changes every week and grants a new currency, Sovereign Sigils, as a reward. These enhanced bosses are very challenging to beat and will test your dodging skills to the highest possible level. With the addition of a new currency also comes a new shop located in the Roundtable Hold.

Elden Ring Nightreign: Everdark Sovereign Bosses, Explained

Recently added to Nightreign, Everdark Sovereigns are harder versions of each Nightlord that offer a significantly higher challenge – and new rewards.

This shop, the Collector's Signboard, has multiple options, but its main attraction is the new Relics you can purchase, as well as Vessels and Skins, using Sovereign Sigils. This guide offers information on what happens if you choose the second option, which offers the Witch's Brooch Relic to the shop in Elden Ring Nightreign.

How To Get Witch's Brooch in Elden Ring Nightreign

How To Get Witch's Brooch in Elden Ring Nightreign

A brooch imbued with potent magic, made from the blood magic crystal received from the Recluse.

This brooch powered the accursed Ictarus weapons that once robbed the Pinionfolk of flight.

At first, this magic brooch, with its aura of unknowable power, was intended as a ceremonial tool to calm violent winds. But the war, for better or worse, demanded that it be employed otherwise, as a magic artifact to bring a swift end to the conflict.

To acquire the Witch's Brooch, you must progress through the Guardian's Remembrance questline, where you must interact with multiple things in Limveld while defeating Nightlords with the Nightfarer to get Memory Fragments needed to proceed. At the start of the ninth chapter, you must interact with a note followed by a book, both located inside the Roundtable Hold.

After doing that, your objective will change, and you will have to make your way to the Garden, where you can find Recluse standing next to the cliff. Speak to her, and you will have two choices: either to punish or to forgive her. The choices don't make much of a difference in the outcome for Recluse, but you will get different Relics from each choice. If you punish her, you will get the Cracked Witch's Brooch, and if you forgive her, you will get the Witch's Brooch.

Should You Give Witch’s Brooch in Elden Ring Nightreign

Should You Give Witch’s Brooch in Elden Ring Nightreign

The Witch's Brooch is a Large Blue Relic with the following effects:

  • [Guardian] Slowly restores nearby allies' HP while Art is active
  • [Guardian] Reflect a portion of damage received when ability is activated
  • Vigor +3

After defeating Everdark Sovereign Gaping Jaw, you will unlock access to the Collector's Signboard. Interacting with the Signboard, located to the left side of the Roundtable Hold, gives you four options, which include altering the Roundtable Hold's appearance, changing the Shifting Earth Event to any of your liking, viewing the catalog which contains new Relics, Vessels, and more, and finally, the option to give the Witch's Brooch. This costs 3 Sovereign Sigils and will change your Witch's Brooch to the Cracked Witch's Brooch.

The Cracked Witch's Brooch is exactly the same as the original version, with no changes to its function. Only the appearance of the Relic is different, so the question is, what purpose does switching the Relic at the Collector's Signboard serve? In this case, there is no real purpose, and it's better not to waste your Sovereign Sigils, as switching costs 3 each time. You can look at it this way— if you chose the Cracked version, read the lore about it, and don't like its appearance, you can switch it back to the Witch's Brooch.

Other than that, there are no differences, and you can choose either version based on your preference.
