Team Building in Dispatch is another episode in which players face a major decision. Most of these choices can change parts of the story, altering the player's experience. The option comes at the end of the episode when Robert has to choose either to reveal his identity or keep it a secret. This guide offers information on what players can expect upon choosing both options and what could be the better choice in the fifth episode.
The guide below contains minor spoilers for the ending of the fifth episode of Dispatch.
The 30 Best Telltale Games, Ranked
The best Telltale Games titles provide players with thought-provoking narratives and interactive excellence that few other developers can match.
Should You Tell Z Team Your Identity in Dispatch Episode 5? (Robert/Mecha Man Choice)
After completing the second dispatch sequence and meeting everyone at the Sardine bar, Robert will be interrupted by a guy named Armstrong, who is wearing a mecha suit. It is here that a brawl will initiate, and all the Z-Team members will start fighting the other people in the bar. You will have to complete a few interactive sequences, after which the team will be outside a food joint eating Mexican food.
While everyone is enjoying their food and the game is constantly showing you sections of the fight, Punch Up will ask Robert about his identity. It is here that you will have two choices:
- I'm Robert.
- I'm Mecha Man.
This is the only major choice in this episode, and you will have a few seconds before you can respond. You can also pause the game to take more time if you want to think more about this. Before going into detail about the choice, as the game saves right before this question, you can quit and copy your save file to the second slot to try out both options yourself. This also guarantees you get two separate achievements or trophies (Silver) for choosing both dialogue options.
If you tell everyone that you are Robert, Robert will hide his identity but put emphasis on not caring about who everyone was before and that he is simply Robert now. Flambae will not be pleased with this answer but will eventually let it go and tell you his real name. After this, everyone will join in and tell everyone their real names as well, and the episode will end here.
If you tell everyone that you are Mecha Man, everyone will be shocked. Flambae will get angry and shoot fire at you, which the Golem will block, and either Waterboy or Malevola will throw water at him, depending on who you brought to the team in Episode 4. This will leave Flambae even more angry, and he will fly away in rage. The next scene is the same, and everyone will tell you their real names, and the episode will come to an end.
Deciding on what to pick can be tricky, but it is entirely your decision. If you want everyone in the team to trust you more at the expense of Flambae being mad at you, you can do that by revealing your identity. Not revealing your identity will increase your relationship with Flambae in a sense. The choices might have repercussions that will unravel in the next episodes of Dispatch.
