Signalis is a retro themed survival horror game developed by Germany based Rose-Engine. The game combines pixel art, fixed camera angles, and puzzles to pay homage to old school games in the genre. Puzzles and levels are filled with references to the Silent Hill/Resident Evil games on the original PlayStation.
Players take control of a maintenance android named Elster as she scours the desolate Rotfront for her lost partner. Once players reach the hospital level, they must find five element-based card keys to open the 5-lock door. Follow this guide to find the Socket Wrench that will allow players to get their hands on the Air Key.
Pick Up the Socket Wrench Handle In The Store Room
From the Reception Save Room in the hospital, players first need to head downwards through the East Corridor. One enemy is patrolling this area. At the bottom left of this hall is the entrance to the 5-lock door. Go through here to reach the West Corridor. There is an enemy patrolling this area as well. Remember that walking will not alert enemies especially if they are not looking in Elster's direction — avoid engaging them to conserve ammo and avoid unnecessary fights.
The door at the top left of this hall opens to the Store Room, which contains the Socket Wrench Handle and one repair spray to pick up.
Find The Exam Room Key In The Flooded Office
For players to continue they must head back to the West Corridor and make their way to the Flooded Office. To get there, players must first go through the middle door to the Protektor Bathroom. The only way to progress forward is to solve the Pump Puzzle for the Water Key and reach the flooded level below.
After players have successfully descended floors, they can leave the Flooded Bathroom and enter the Flooded Corridor. There is one enemy here, similar to previous corridors. Players should head straight across the hall to the Flooded Office. The office contains a save area, two stun rods, and the Exam Room Key.
Pick Up The 10mm Socket In The Exam Room
Before heading back up a floor, players can go to the southeastern door in the Flooded Corridor to enter the Flooded Store Room. This room contains the blank key needed in a different puzzle, as well as 5 rounds of pistol ammo. Across the hall from the Flooded Store Room entrance is the Pipes room. Players can enter this room and unlock the door to gain a shortcut between floors.
Back in the West Corridor, head straight up to unlock the door to the elevator lobby. From there it's a straight shot heading right across the East Corridor into the North Corridor. The first door on the left of this hall opens with the Exam Room Key. Inside, players will find a note explaining how to combine repair spray/repair patches, an auto-injector, and the 10mm Socket.
Now that players have both pieces, they can obtain the Socket Wrench. Open the inventory and combine the 10mm Socket with the Socket Handle acquired earlier. This creates the 10mm Socket Wrench.
Pick Up the Air Key In The Vent Room
Elster needs to retrace her steps all the way back to the flooded area. Now that shortcuts are open, it should be easy to navigate. From the Flooded Corridor, head up to the left and enter the Sleeping Ward. The ward has too much loot to carry, and four enemies that come up from the floor. Breeze through it to the Vent Room.
The Vent Room contains a note explaining that the vent is damaged and needs both parts of the wrench to fix it. Use the combined 10mm Socket Wrench to open the vent, and pick up the Air Key.
