The psychological horror is a remake of Konami’s iconic PlayStation 2 game from 2001, centering around James Sunderland’s experience in the titular town while searching for his deceased wife. Silent Hill 2 Remake’s Patch 1.04 fixed several bugs hindering the game’s performance, including issues with James’ movements and the Abstract Daddy boss fight, and it also enhanced the game’s overall technical performance. Bloober Team has responded to the major bug affecting the Labyrinth-level puzzle after an outcry from the fanbase. Silent Hill 2 Remake players flagged the Labyrinth bug quickly after the recent patch went live, complaining they couldn’t get past the rotating cube puzzle because the bug stalled its progression after the first stage. Thankfully, the devs have responded promptly on Twitter confirming, "a fix is in implementation." Furthermore, a player shared the devs’ response to their raised ticket on Reddit, and the team confirmed a fix would not be published earlier than Thursday, October 24.

The Labyrinth level’s rotating cube puzzle is an easier challenge compared to Silent Hill 2 Remake’s hardest puzzles, making the bug even more frustrating for players keen to progress. James will encounter the cube after arriving in the center of the Labyrinth level, and spinning the green block opens up a crossroads area leading to different sections. Once the puzzle is solved, players can access the Rotten Area, the Desolate Area, and the Ruined Area.
