In recent years, Konami has expressed an interest in putting more resources into triple-A game development and resurrecting some of its most popular IPs. While a Silent Hill game is right around the corner, another major Konami title, Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, is also set to mark a franchise return after over six years. Given that both franchises are making a comeback after long breaks, fan excitement for these games has been predictably spirited. Now, a new tidbit about Silent Hill 2's PS5 version is giving players some more insight into the horror game remake.

On the other hand, Deluxe Edition owners will be able to start pre-loading the game as early as October 4 before the game goes live for them on October 6. How Big is Silent Hill 2 Remake on PlayStation 5?

  • 50.535GB

Silent Hill 2's download size of around 50.5GB on the PS5 is pretty standard for a current-gen game and not on the higher side, unlike other survival horror games like Alan Wake 2, which occupies a whopping 85GB of space on Sony's console. The moderate space requirement should allow most players to download the game without having to manage their PS5's storage space too much. Moreover, the remake's size on the platform is similar to its size on PC, which is listed as 50GB on Steam.

After the Silent Hill 2 remake rolls out next month, fans of Konami's vast portfolio of IPs will still have more to look forward to. Over the past few months, the Japanese gaming giant has routinely shared new details and previews of the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake. Interested players can likely expect a release date for the stealth-action game soon, as the game is currently expected to come out in 2025.
