Players will have access to five difficulty presets when they first start Silent Hill f, two for action and three for puzzles. One new difficulty option that may catch your eye is the Lost in the Fog option for puzzles. While there is something for every type of player out there, let's check out the differences between these difficulties first.

Can You Change the Difficulty Settings After Starting a New Game in Silent Hill f?

When players start a new game in Silent Hill f, they won't be able to change their difficulty in the settings menu. However, there's a workaround to reduce the Action difficulty later on, without starting a new game.

If you feel like the game's combat challenge is getting too much for you, simply die four to five times by an enemy or a boss consecutively. Once you do that, you'll get the option to change the Action difficulty for Silent Hill f in the game over screen, right under the continue option.

While you can change the Action difficulty after starting a new game, unfortunately, there's no way to change the puzzle difficulty. So, players will need to stick to their settings for the current playthrough or simply start a new game.
