In Silent Hill f, Faith is a special currency used for character progression. You need Faith to permanently upgrade your core stats through the Pray function at a Hokora Shrine. Increasing the Health, Stamina, and Sanity meters are vital for improving Hinako's survivability in combat. Not only that, you can spend Faith points to even expand how many Omamori slots you have. However, Faith doesn’t come easily and having less impactful upgrades can leave you struggling later when enemies hit harder and sanity drains faster. This guide explains how you can get more Faith in Silent Hill f.

How to Get Faith in Silent Hill f

You can get Faith by using the Enshrine system. Rather than simply discarding unwanted items, players can offer them at Hokora Shrines in exchange for Faith. If your bag is full, head to the nearest Hokora Shrine to lighten your load and gain Faith at the same time.

Items like Antique Combs or Dried Carcasses exist solely to be Enshrined. They don’t stack, have no other use, and can clutter your inventory quickly. If one of these takes up your last slot, it’s best to head to the nearest Hokora Shrine immediately.

Almost every food item in the game can be Enshrined for Faith. The amount of Faith you earn scales with rarity. For example, a single Arare only yields about 10 Faith, while a Kudzu Tea can give around 100 Faith. At times, it may even be worth sacrificing a strong healing item if you’re not actively using it, in order to free up space and stockpile Faith.

Not everything can be Enshrined, though. Items like Bandages, Red Capsules, and Toolkits are excluded, forcing you to use them rather than sacrifice them.
