To many players' surprise, there is an Act 3 to Silksong. Indeed, after beating the final boss of Act 2, you can complete the Silk and Soul quest to find a way to defeat Grand Mother Silk a different way. After snaring Grand Mother Silk and entrapping her in the Void, the credits will play, and players will be sent back to the main menu.

Beat the Bell Eater & Find the Snail Shaman Hut in Moss Grotto
After watching the Act 3 cutscene as Hornet lands in the field of white flowers below The Cradle, make your way to the nearest Bellway – in this case, the Grand Bellway at the bottom of the Choral Chambers is your best bet.
You will have to get there manually, though, as the Ventrica in the First Shrine will become blocked off after beginning Act 3.
Try to call the Bell Beast at the Grand Bellway, and instead of our loyal companion, the Bell Eater will rise out of the ground and roar at Hornet. Sit at the bench to the right, then drop into the hole to beat the Bell Eater.
After you deal enough damage to this boss, the Bell Beast will charge in and deal the killing blow. The Bell Beast's baby Beastlings will show up at this point, and Hornet will be taught the Beastling Call – a special song that allows Hornet to summon beastlings to bring her back to the nearest Bellway.
After getting the Beastling Call, take the Bellway back to Bone Bottom and drop into Moss Grotto. Enter the hut near the top-left exit to this zone and speak to the Snail Shamans. They will task Hornet with finding a way to get to the Abyss.
To get to the Abyss, Hornet must take the Diving Bell found at the far bottom-right of the Deep Docks zone.
Find the Diving Bell in Deep Docks
Take the Bellway to the Deep Docks fast travel point, then make your way to the Forge Daughter. Talk to her, then talk to Bellow, to get him to move downward to the Diving Bell. You must interact with Bellow to take the Diving Bell below the lava.
After getting Bellow's help, go down one room and open the locked door with a Simple Key. Continue all the way to the right, taking care to avoid being hit by the void-empowered enemies in this secret area of Deep Docks, until you reach the far top-right.
Exit to Far Fields and sit on the bench nearby. This is a much more convenient location to respawn at than the Deep Docks bench, and cuts a lot of time if you die on the way down.
From the Far Fields entrance, follow the route above to make your way to the Forebrothers Signis & Gron boss just after unlocking a shortcut back up to the top of this secret Deep Docks area.
Forebrothers Signis & Gron boss
Forebrothers Signis & Gron are not too difficult, but because there are two bosses to fight at once alongside their minions, it can take a fair bit of time to beat. After downing this duo boss, continue to the left and loop back until you reach a room where you must drop down past large slug-like enemies.
Like the smaller variant, these large wall-clingers will spray damaging goo if you get too close. Drop down, use the Drifter's Cloak to navigate to the base, then go right and upward.
To go up on the right side of this final room before the Diving Bell, you'll have to carefully time downward slashes to bounce off the oozes on the walls before their spray damages you.
Upon getting to the Diving Bell, go into the chamber just above and speak to Bellow to get the Diving Bell key. Then, drop back down, get into the Diving Bell, and signal Bellow that you are ready. Sit in the bench and watch as the Diving Bell drops below the lava and into the Abyss.
Get the Silk Soar Ability Deep in The Abyss
After the Diving Bell crashes into the Abyss, your next goal is to traverse the zone to get to a Weaver Nest that contains the Silk Soar ability. To do this, go left until you hit a wall, then drop down and go right.
Along the way, take care not to drop into the 2-HP damage void tendrils and use downward slashes, dodges, and your Clawline in tandem with one another to get across platforming segments and floating black orbs.
In the final room, after Hornet peers into the void below and after Lace shows up, you must make your way to the top-right of the room, then play your Needolin outside of the Weaver door. Enter and drop down to the bottom layer, then bind the statue to get Silk Soar.
Use Silk Soar to escape the Weaver nest, then make your way back through the Abyss to get back to the Diving Bell. Use Silk Soar to ascend upward through previously inaccessible tunnels above to make your way back.
When you get back to the Diving Bell, use Silk Soar once again to go upward, then go left through several rooms until you find a bench. Make sure to sit on this bench – the next segment is incredibly tough.
Escape the Abyss & Rising Lava
The next segment will surely test all but the most skilled Silksong players. Climb upward from the room with the bench, and you will enter a platforming section that requires precise timing and use of just about all of your movement skills to survive.
After a certain point, the lava will begin to rise behind Hornet, adding to the tension in this white-knuckle segment. Make your way to the top, then use Silk Soar on the flat land, to get back into Deep Docks – and escape The Abyss.
Learn the Elegy of the Deep from the Snail Shamans
Immediately after escaping The Abyss, use the Beastling Call to bring yourself to the Deep Docks Bellway. Take the Bellway to Bone Bottom, then walk left, across the bridge (or hole, if you broke the bridge), then drop down into the hole Hornet climbed out of at the start of the game.
Go left when you fall back into the starting zone and go into the hut to find all three Snail Shamans crowded around a bench. Speak to the Snail Shamans to learn of a way to repel the Void that is taking over Pharloom.
Hornet must gather the Old Hearts of some of Pharloom's strongest bugs, then return to the Snail Shamans to use the combined power of these hearts to enter her own memories. Learn the Elegy of the Deep from the Snail Shamans, pick up The Old Hearts, then set out into Pharloom's furthest and most secretive reaches.

Make sure to get the fourth Needle Upgrade by finding every Flea location, then beating the Fleatopia minigames to make the rest of Act 3 a bit easier.
Where to Get the Heart of Might
The first Heart that players should go for is the Heart of Might, which arguably has the most frustrating boss encounter of the three. If you can beat Crust King Khann, you can beat any of the Old Hearts bosses in Silksong.
To get to the Heart of Might location, Silksong players must make their way from the Blasted Steps bellway upward into the Sands of Karak area. This is the same zone where players find Crustnut for the Great Taste of Pharloom quest in Act 2, though you must go a little further to get to this Old Heart.
Follow the route on the map above to get to a room with a veritable army of crab-like soldiers surrounding an ancient statue of the Crust King. Use the Elegy of the Deep in front of the statue to enter the memory of the Crust King and find the Coral Tower.
This absolutely gorgeous zone is home to several enemy Gauntlets that Hornet must beat as she ascends upward. Go right to face the first, then loop up and left to find the second. Continue zig-zagging through the tower, beating gauntlets along the way, until you reach the top level – you should see a room with a platform above spikes.
Before you go into this final room, go into an alcove at the far top-left of the zone (to the top-left of this final room) and break the ceiling to create a shortcut all the way back to the start point. If you die during the Crust King fight or Gauntlet prior, this makes the runback significantly easier.
Defeat the enemy waves in the final room, then use Silk Soar to enter the boss room above when you kill the final enemy – be sure to take some screenshots of the gorgeous underwater area Hornet flies through on the way up.
Defeat Crust King Khann to get the Encrusted Heart, the Heart of Might required for the Old Hearts quest.
Where to Get the Heart of the Wild
The Heart of the Wild can be found in Hunter's March, which connects to both The Marrow and Deep Docks. Make yoru way to the statue of Skarrsinger Karmelita in the far top-right of the zone. Use Silk Soar to fly upwards, then continue to follow the path leading to the right to enter a secret area above the Far Fields.
Follow the route on the map above to find and enter a hut. You may recognize the bug within – speak to Skarrsinger Karmelita, then use the Elegy of the Deep to enter her memories and face her at the height of her strength, before the Citadel brought her tribe to ruins.
In the memory of Karmelita, head right, then loop up and around the central stage as you listen to Karmelita's enchanting singing. Enter the boss arena from the right side to face Skarrsinger Karmelita. If you die, you'll respawn outside the memory, and will have to play the Elegy of the Deep again to get back in and try the boss again.
Beat Skarrsinger Karmelita, and Hornet will return to the real world, where she can pick up the Hunter's Heart next to Karmelita's now-dead body.
Where to Get the Heart of the Woods
The Heart of the Woods can be found in Shellwood, but you can't actually get to this location via any route in Shellwood itself. Instead, you must drop into the elevator shaft that leads down to the Underworks from the Grand Gate and look for a breakable wall on the left side of the shaft.
Enter this room to the left to get into this secret upper area of Shellwood. Continue along the route on the map above until you reach Seth, the guardian of the forest shrine to his left. Defeat Seth, then continue to the left and use the Elegy of the Deep while standing in front of the Fountain within the shrine to enter Nyleth's memory.
In the memory, go left to find Nyleth slumbering against the wall. Approach the boss to begin the fight – as you progress through the phases, eventually Nyleth will destroy the ground and drop Hornet into a thorn-filled room with limited standing space. The next time you enter the boss arena, you will start the fight at this phase.
Defeat Nyleth to get the Heart of the Woods, also called the Pollen Heart. After you earn this third of the Old Hearts, Silksong players must return to the Snail Shamans in Moss Grotto to use their power to enter the Red Memory.
Optional: The Conjoined Heart & Lost Verdania
There is a secret zone players can unlock in Act 3: Lost Verdania. To the right of Craw Lake in Greymoor, the Green Prince can be found mourning the dead husk of an armored mantis (as long as you have found all Green Prince locations up to this point).
Use the Elegy of the Deep while standing next to him to enter Lost Verdania, a lush, gorgeous mantis kingdom from long, long ago.
Here, your goal is to collect glowing orbs throughout the entire zone to help restore the Green Prince's memory. As you complete more of these golden orbs, you will reveal more of the zone as the cobwebs of time dissipate. Eventually, you will unlock a room at the top-right of the zone, which leads to the Clover Dancers fight.
Defeat the Clover Dancers to exit the Green Prince's memory. When Hornet wakes up, she will find the Green Prince embracing his dead partner. Pick up the Conjoined Heart off of the ground below them, which can be used in place of any other Old Heart for The Old Hearts quest.
Silksong Act 3 Walkthrough – The True Ending
Traverse Hornet's Memories to Get the Everbloom
The last segments of Act 3 are relatively linear as the true ending to the game comes into sight. First, after collecting at least three of the Old Hearts listed above, return to the Snail Shamans and use the power of the Hearts to enter Hornet's own memories in an attempt to manifest the Everbloom – a flower that can repel the Void.
In the Red Memory, follow the linear path through Hornet's past as you see the warrior-princess's ancient memories.
- First, you'll see Hornet's memory of Herrah the Beast, her birth mother, and one of the Dreamers who sealed the Hollow Knight in the previous game.
- Then, you see a young Hornet amongst the Weavers that taught her how to wield her silk.
- After this, we are taken to The Hive and shown Hornet's combat training with Vespa, the Hive Queen.
- Finally, we walk through a visage of the White Palace where Hornet's father (the Pale King) makes no appearance.
Finally, Hornet remembers the White Lady, the consort to the Pale King and one of the "three queens" who raised her. The White Lady will remind Hornet of their family's connection to the Void, then bequeath the Everbloom to her.
After Hornet wakes up, leave the Snail Shaman hut with the Everbloom in hand and make your way back to Deep Docks via the Bellway. You must get back to the Diving Bell to get back to the Abyss and get the True Ending to Silksong.
Go to the Depths of the Abyss & Jump Into the Void
Make your way back through the troubling, secret lower area of Deep Docks (preferably via a shortcut you can unlock in the bottom-left of the main Deep Docks zone, to cut out most enemies along the way).
Get back to the Diving Bell and go up into the room above to talk to Bellow again. He will be surprised to see Hornet again, and more surprised that she wants to use the Diving Bell again. Once again, climb into the bell, signal Bellow to lower it, then drop down into the Abyss (safely, this time).
Make your way back through the zone to reach the void lake at the bottom, where Lace appeared earlier. Sit on the bench here, then prepare to face the final boss of the true ending to Silksong: Lost Lace.
Defeat Lost Lace to Beat Act 3 & Get the True Ending to Silksong
Lost Lace is one of the hardest bosses in the game. Be prepared to spend several hours attempting and re-attempting this fight as you learn its moves and slowly become more comfortable dealing with her extremely rapid and unpredictable attacks.
After you deal the killing blow, you will earn the True Ending to Silksong as you complete Act 3! Enjoy the climactic, satisfying final cutscene as Hornet escapes the Void with Lace – and encounters a familiar face.
