Hollow Knight: Silksong has several hidden mechanics and NPCs that players who rush to the end will definitely miss in their playthrough. One of such NPCs is Eva, who's an NPC found in Weavenest Atla that's trapped within a pod, and all players can hear from the pod is a disembodied voice. They're an important NPC that can not only upgrade the Hunter Crest, but players can also later bind them to get the 
Sylphsong ability and unlock the Entwined trophy/achievement.
Silksong: How to Unlock Cross Stitch Ability (Parry)
Cross Stitch is a useful ability in Silksong that can parry incoming attacks from enemies and deliver a devastating counterattack in return.
Where to Find Eva in Silksong (Upgrade Hunter Crest)
Players can find Eva in the Weavenest Atla area in Silksong, which can only be accessed by opening the Needolin door inside Moss Grotto. This is located in the starting area of the game, and you probably recognized it when you passed by it back then.
So, simply play the Needolin to open up the door, and enter the Weavenest Atla area.
Make your way inside Weavenest Alta and keep heading right until you arrive in a room with two fuses (power cells) sticking out of the ceiling. Hit both of the fuses to restore the power to Weavenest Atla. Now return to the middle of the area and be sure to get the map on your way.
Stand on the platform in the center to teleport Hornet to the lower section of Weavenest Alta. Look to the right of the platform, and you'll spot a path blocked by wires. Break the obstruction and clear the path, which will lead you into Eva's chamber. After a brief conversation with Eva, you'll get an option to allow their insight.
If players answer yes to Eva offering their insight, Hornet's 
Hunter Crest will be upgraded to become the Evolved Hunter Crest. While equipped, the Crest will add an ability that will allow Hornet to accumulate focus on consistent strikes. This will greatly increase Hornet's needle damage once focus is maxed.
How to Bind Eva in Silksong (Unlock Entwined Trophy)
Once you've interacted with Eva the first time, they'll ask Hornet to return to them once she's evolved further. So, players will need to evolve Hornet's nature further by collecting all the Crests in Silksong and unlocking their slots with the Memory Locket. Here's a list of Crests you'll need to acquire.

After acquiring all the Crests and unlocking their slots via Memory Lockets, players can return to Eva in her chamber at Weavenest Atla during Silksong's Act Three. Eva would notice the Hornet's exceptional growth and ask her to bind with them. Once players select yes, Hornet will bind Eva, which will unlock the Sylphsong ability.
This ability is one of the most useful skills in the game, as it'll let Hornet regenerate silk while resting on a bench. In addition to the newly acquired ability, players will also unlock the Entwined achievement (trophy) in Silksong.
