In Hollow Knight, fast travel existed in the form of the Stagways. Once players discovered at least two Stag Stations, they could ride the Last Stag between each location. In Silksong, fast travel exists in a similar, but slightly different, form.

There are a few different methods players can use to get around Pharloom faster, but there's only one traditional fast travel system in Silksong. This guide explains how the fast travel system works and what players need to do to unlock fast travel in Silksong.

Silksong Fast Travel System, Explained
In many areas, players can unlock shortcuts between locations, like the elevator between the top of the Moss Grotto and Bone Bottom. These aren't traditional fast travel points, but they do allow players to navigate certain portions of Pharloom's maze-like map faster.
The main fast travel system in Silksong is the Pharloom Bellways. These Bell Beast stations are typically marked with a signpost with three chevrons pointing to the right.
After you have unlocked the fast travel system, you can ride the Bell Beast to instantly travel between all discovered Pharloom Bellway locations. In total, there are 10 Bellway fast travel points in Silksong.
This system works almost exactly like the Stagways in Hollow Knight. However, while the Last Stag willingly helps the Knight in Hollow Knight, Hornet must defeat the Bell Beast to unlock fast travel in Silksong.
How To Unlock Fast Travel in Silksong
To unlock fast travel, Silksong players must reach Mosshome at the top of the Moss Grotto area, acquire the Silkspear ability, then break the Bell Beast free from its bindings at the top of The Marrow.
- Continue to the right from Bone Bottom to reach The Marrow.
- Progress through this area until you reach Shakra, Silksong's map merchant.
- From Shakra's location, go left, then up, to get to the Mosshome sub-zone within Moss Grotto.
- Get up onto the platforms in this room, hit the lever at the far left to unlock a shortcut back to Bone Bottom, then go upward.
- Traverse the trap-filled room until you reach the symbol of a Weaver. Interact with this to get the Silkspear ability.
- Backtrack until you see a sign with three rightward-pointing chevrons on it, above Shakra's room. Go right to find the Bell Beast.
Once you enter the Bell Beast's room, use the Silkspear ability to break all of its silken bindings at the same time. The Bell Beast will be freed, but Hornet must subdue it to get it to serve her.
This boss fight can be relatively hard, but if you take care to avoid the falling bell attacks, jump over the boss when it charges, and stay under the boss when it leaps, you should make it through.
You will be transported into a dream-like sequence after beating the Bell Beast. Reach the top of this area, pick up the Silk Heart item, then Hornet will awaken back in the boss room. With the Bell Beast defeated, Silksong players can now stand on the platform next to it and fast travel to any other Bell Beast fast travel point they have discovered.
In addition to the Pharloom Bellways fast travel system, players can eventually discover Ventrica stations within the Citadel. Details on this later-game travel system will be added to this guide as we continue to explore Silksong.
