How to Get Conchcutter in Silksong

There are numerous tools in Hollow Knight: Silksong that are locked behind difficult platforming sections or challenging boss encounters. Some of these tools are really good and can make future boss fights and encounters much easier for the player, so acquiring them becomes a necessity.

How to Get Conchcutter in Silksong

To get the Conchcutter, players will first have to make their way to the Sands of Karak. This is an area located to the north of Blasted Steps, and accessing it requires the Clawline ability. Once you have that, make your way to the area after the Great Conchflies boss fight, where you find the Pinstress who gives you the Needle Strike ability. From here, you can go up using the Clawline and reach the Sands of Karak.

There are a lot of platforming sections in Sands of Karak, and you will have to explore it completely until you reach the top, where you can hit the Stalactide on top. This will make it drop down and make a shortcut that you can use. To the left of the second Stalactide is the Raging Conchfly boss arena.

This is a necessary fight that you have to complete for the Conchcutter. The boss deals two mask damage with all of its attacks. After you have dealt enough damage to it, it will start spawning smaller conflies for help, which drill in different areas of the game, forcing you to focus on the smaller minions as well as the larger Conchfly.

An easy way to spot where everyone is coming from is to look for the smoke coming out.

After the boss has been dealt with, make your way forward and head inside the Coral Tower located at the far end of the Sands of Karak. Inside, you will find the Conchcutter lying on the ground.

How Does the Conchcutter Work in Silksong?

The Conchcutter is a high damaging Tool that can ricochet off the walls. Depending on how many Tool Pouch upgrades the players have acquired, they will be able to use quite a lot of the Conchcutters in a boss fight or enemy encounter. This tool is especially good against bosses that have a habit of staying in one place while performing a powerful attack. If you aim and shoot it at the boss, it will start drilling into the boss, dealing damage.

In the case that players want to make a build around this tool, then they should bring the Pollip Pouch and the Quick Sling with them. This makes it so that you are shooting two cones at the same time, and they also have Venom on them. There are some platforming sections, like the ones in the Sands of Karak, where you have to acquire the Crustnut for the Great Taste of Pharloom, where you will find obstacles blocking the path, and the Conchcutter can clear them away with ease, making the whole section a breeze.
