The Sims 4 developers have provided fans with much-needed information about the upcoming expansion pack, Adventure Awaits, sharing some critical lore details, delving into NPC gossip, and revealing the inspiration for its world. The Sims 4 base game was released over a decade ago, and there are still thousands of active players. It has been so long since the base game came out that EA has given fans free access to it. To keep the game alive, developers continue to work on free updates for the game and on more paid DLC packs that add playability to it.
There are dozens of packs for The Sims 4, and they come in all shapes and sizes and cover a wide range of themes. This is why The Sims 4 is one of the most replayable games to exist. At the start of September, EA announced the 20th expansion pack for The Sims 4. It is titled Adventure Awaits and will focus on getaways. Players will be able to make their own custom venues and host all sorts of retreats. This will allow them to make many kinds of lots, ranging from bed and breakfasts to intense competitions.

The Sims 4 Gives Details About Gibbi Point and Its Townies
While the trailers for Adventure Awaits have shown a lot of gameplay elements coming to The Sims 4 with this pack, very little information was given about the town, Gibbi Point, and its inhabitants. Therefore, the developers decided to host a Q&A on the game's Discord and answer some burning questions about Gibbi Point. Thanks to the Q&A, fans learned that there will be four festivals in Gibbi Point, that Pruella, the pack's mascot, is a trans woman and Sims can date her, and that Gibbi Point was inspired by Australia, New Zealand, and national parks in the USA.
There was already plenty of information about the custom venues feature for The Sims 4, but the Q&A gave fans even more details. In previous packs, players had to own a lot in order to work there or profit from it, but it seems that this won't be the case with custom venues in Adventure Awaits. According to the Q&A, players do not need to be owners of a getaway in order to host events there.
Gibbi Point has the potential of being one of the best worlds in The Sims 4 to date. Even though it doesn't have many active households, it will introduce a fun array of special NPCs, townies, and lore.
