Horses became available for Simmers to add to their homes as pets and companions in the Horse Ranch expansion, and with the expansion came plenty of weird and wonderful horse creations in the Sims 4 gallery. One particularly noteworthy horse family is this recreation of the six main ponies from the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic series.
Created by Simmer ArrdubbSims, each pony is recreated as a horse (ponies aren’t a thing in the game yet), but they still look excellent, and it’s easy to tell which pony is which for those who know the characters. The little details make all the difference, such as Applejack’s hat and freckles, Rainbow Dash’s rainbow mane, and the accurate color palettes. The options for creating a horse are a bit limiting, but ArrdubbSims has managed to recreate the ponies fabulously nonetheless.

While on the topic of unusual pets in the Sims 4 gallery, this Northern Lights cat by Simmer granatoweszklo is another well-made and unusual animal companion that is a testament to the creativity and skills of its creator. The Northern Lights cat - adorably named Aurora Borealis - has a coat that looks exactly like the blue and green hues that flood the night sky with the natural light display that is the Northern Lights.
The colors of the cat's coat likely took a while to get right, as too much blue or green in the wrong shade wouldn't have looked right, making it difficult to look at this pet creation and not appreciate the hard work that would have gone into crafting it.

In the same way that the previous entry recreates a red panda with a dog breed, Simmer Liquid-Ferret does so here to create a majestic-looking gray wolf. Altered from a large dog breed, the gray wolf that Liquid-Ferret has created has a coat color, texture, face shape, and muzzle identical to that of a classical gray wolf.
Again, the effort and time that must have gone into creating this wolf so accurately has to be appreciated, but the wolf itself also makes for a great pet for those wanting their Sims to have their very own wolf.

Created from a cat base, this otter is not only the cutest thing ever, but it is also remarkably accurate to a real-life otter rather than a cartoony take on the animal.
The Otter Cat wins the top spot thanks to its incredibly realistic design and cuteness. Players who want an otter running around their Sims home should go to the gallery and download this pet immediately, as they won't find better in The Sims 4.
