The Sims 4 is releasing two new creator kits on January 30, adding new furniture, clothing, and decorations to the game. The Sims 4 additions are in partnership with a pair of custom content creators, exciting their fans.
The Sims 4 has a ton of official content that's been released for it over the years, ranging from full-fledged expansion packs to smaller content kits. As The Sims is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the franchise, numerous additions to the latest entry have been announced recently.
One The Sims 4 Feature Should Get a Makeover if It's in Project Rene
One of The Sims 4's more realistic gameplay features could be a hindrance in the upcoming Project Rene as many Simmers find it tedious.
In a series of tweets, EA revealed the two new content kits for The Sims 4. The first is called the Refined Living Room kit, and it was made in partnership with custom content creator pierisim. The game has only released a couple images for each kit so far, but this creator kit seems to live up to its name. The images show a mix of modern and retro designs, with an emphasis on natural colors and wood textures. The designer behind the kit also shared a tweet on his own account, sharing how excited he was to finally be able to share the upcoming release.
The other creator kit coming to the game is the Business Chic Kit by custom content creator madlensims. Two images of content coming in the kit were shared, with feminine and masculine looks, including longer knee-length fitted skirts, business blazers, tall boots, suits, and slacks. Madlensims also expressed their excitement at the upcoming release. Both sets will launch on January 30. No price has been specified, so they will likely sell for $4.99 USD each like the rest of the creator and content kits.
Sims 4 Players Like the Additions, But...
The comments on the kit announcements seem to be mixed at this time. Numerous fans seem to be quite excited about the new content, but many have also claimed that there are lingering bugs in The Sims 4 that still need to be fixed. These fans would rather see the underlying issues in the game get addressed before more additions are launched. Other fans have expressed content kit fatigue, with some wishing for more involved releases, like full expansion packs.
From the sound of it, there is some general discontent with The Sims 4 that EA needs to address to ensure that the community remains involved and excited. With the game now being over ten years old itself, it's understandable for some issues to crop up. However, if EA wants players to keep buying new content for The Sims 4, it's up to the developer to ensure that the underlying experience performs as expected. For those who aren't experiencing major issues, though, these two creator kits are just one more reason to be excited for the series' anniversary.
