Taking care of Sims and starting families is often the main priority of many players of The Sims 4. To change up their pacing and dive into unexplored aspects of the game, players frequently turn to challenges written by creators in the community. The Not So Berry Challenge and the Decades Challenge are usually the first challenges that players turn to; however, more obscure challenges like the Globetrotter Challenge can offer better experiences for telling meaningful stories.
This challenge takes players through seven different worlds in The Sims 4 and encourages them to investigate every nook and cranny by completing aspirations. Unlike others, this challenge is played with a single Sim and focuses more on gameplay than money accumulation. Players end the challenge with a fully-rounded Sim with new life experiences and expertise in each of the assigned expansions.

Rules
Before delving into the rounds of this challenge, players must first read the challenge's rules about settings and goals. The rules are in place so that players can feel immersed in the story of the challenge. If the suggested expansions are not installed, feel free to modify these guidelines.

Challenge Parameters
- Goals: Complete the main aspiration assigned to each round. Any secondary aspirations must be completed at least halfway before moving to the following location.
- Settings: Turn off aging settings or set lifespan to Long. Set seasons to at least two weeks in order to achieve everything needed.
- Start: Create a young adult Sim and move them into the first location. They must sleep in a tent on a vacant lot. Set the funds to 0 (for more difficulty) or 50 simoleons (for a helpful boost) by using cheats.
- Moving/Travel: The Sim may not travel anywhere outside the world they're currently living in. When moving to the next location, the Sim may take one piece of furniture and their tent. Everything else should be sold.

Occupation: The Sim may only apply for a part-time job after obtaining the items listed below. The Sim must quit their job before moving to the next location. The required items to obtain a job are:
- A tent
- Campfire
- Refrigerator
- Bush/toilet
- Shower
- Sink
- Counter
- Chair
Round One: Mt. Komorebi
At the beginning of summer, the character of this challenge decides to visit Mt. Komorebi — the world from Snowy Escape — for a fresh start. Unfortunately, the ticket cost them their entire life savings. They pitch a tent and set up base on an empty lot. In this season of their life, this Sim wants to explore Mt. Komorebi.
To complete this desire, players should strive to finish the Mt. Komorebi Sightseer aspiration. This aspiration takes Sims through the ins and outs of the world, encouraging them to participate in festivals, visit attractions, and taste the town's traditional meals. They find easy ways to make money, like selling fruits, vegetables, and fish from nearby gardens and community lots. They also pick up knitting as a hobby, so players should at least attempt to complete the Lord/Lady of the Knits aspiration before moving to the next world.
Round Two: Sulani
As summer fades away and autumn draws to a close, the winter breeze begins to fill the air. After seeing all the sights and mastering the art of knitting, the Sim decides to search for warmer weather. They sell the majority of their belongings and set sail for Sulani, where they can sink their toes in the sand and cool off in the ocean.

Players should select the Beach Life aspiration to get the full Island Living experience. This entails discovering the secrets of the hidden cave, eating island food, and earning gold at the exclusive Kava party. Aim to complete the aspiration before advancing to the next world during spring.
Round Three: StrangerVille
Once spring hits Sulani, the Sim gets an itch to move once again. They aim for Granite Falls, but get lost on their travels and find themselves in StrangerVille. The town is full of strange plants, and the people are even stranger. Locals sprint wildly through the town with crooked necks and are constantly talking about their "Mother."
The Sim in this challenge can't help their curiosity, and decide to set up camp to solve the StrangerVille mystery. The StrangerVille Mystery aspiration will help this Sim on their quest to cure the infected Sims and defeat the Mother Plant.
Round Four: Granite Falls
Finally, next spring, the globetrotter arrives in Granite Falls from the Outdoor Retreat game pack. Spring is a perfect season to go hiking in the forest, study herbalism, and admire nature. The Outdoor Enthusiast aspiration will guide the Sim through the fishing, herbalism, and cooking skills, which are all essential for camping. Finishing this aspiration will reward the Sim with the Survivalist trait, which comes in handy when the Sim continues to live off of the land.
Many of the unidentified plants and herbs that are needed to complete this aspiration will bloom in the spring and summer, so players should take full advantage of these seasons. There is a secondary aspiration for this round as well. If this Sim soars through the primary aspiration, they should try their hands at the Angling Ace aspiration.
Round Five: Selvadorada
In summer, this Sim needs a change of scenery and happens upon Selvadorada, the Latin-American-inspired jungle town from Jungle Adventure. While there, they dig up ancient artifacts, find hidden treasures, and dance at the town's cantina. The Archeology Scholar aspiration should help along the way.
The secondary aspiration for this world is Jungle Explorer. To complete the secondary aspiration and traverse the Jungle District successfully, the player Sim can ask their friends to join their household, but they will have to remove their money from family funds and split all profits from selling artifacts and treasures. Be sure to move the friend back out when the trip to Selvadorada is completed.
Round Six: Evergreen Harbor
When the leaves begin to change color, it's time for another destination. In an attempt to slow down and connect with the community, the globetrotter moves to Evergreen Harbor from the Eco Lifestyle expansion in the fall. Begin by tackling the Master Maker aspiration. Sims will learn fabrication skills, the importance of recycling, and the art of creating candles along their way to completing this aspiration.
How To Complete The Sims 4 Greek God/Goddess Legacy Challenge
Legacy challenges help players that are feeling burnt out of The Sims jump back in, and this is a guide on how to complete the Greek Legacy Challenge.
Another aspiration that came with Eco Lifestyle is the Eco Innovator aspiration. This is the secondary, optional aspiration that players can try to complete before moving on to the next round. It will help the Sim be more involved in the community and improve the overall atmosphere of the city.
Round Seven: Glimmerbrook OR Forgotten Hollow
There are two options for completing the seventh round of this challenge, depending on which occult pack the player has downloaded. In winter, the Sim can travel to Glimmerbrook from Realm of Magic. Take the Sim through the town and into the mysterious glowing portal into the Magical Realm. There, they will become a powerful spellcaster by completing the Spellcraft and Sorcery aspiration (main) and the Purveyor of Portions aspiration (secondary).
If the player prefers the Vampires expansion instead, the Sim can instead travel to Forgotten Hollow for the winter, where they meet the illustrious Count Vladislaus. There, they will learn how to live forever by becoming a vampire and completing the Master Vampire aspiration.
Round Eight
In the challenge's final round, the Sim is encouraged to write a book about their life experiences while traveling. Strive to complete the Bestselling Author aspiration and the Freelance Botanist aspiration for fun on the side.
Free from the confines and rules of the challenge, the player can settle in their favorite world and finally build their Sim the house that they deserve. Perhaps they can start a family of their own to travel with. They can visit their favorite worlds from the past, or decide to go to university as their next adventure. There are also several other unexplored worlds for players to write their own rules for to continue the challenge.
