Gooooooal! Is a stunt challenge in Skate that centers around performing a fairly tricky slam. More specifically, players who want to complete all this challenge's goals will need to hit the top of a roof and continue their slam until they enter a dumpster. This guide is here to provide more information about this process, and it will help players complete the Gooooooal! Challenge in Skate.
This is not the most difficult challenge in Skate's Hedgemont neighborhood, but it may still take players several attempts to complete it.
Skate 4 Gooooooal! Challenge Guide
Slam Distance
Players who hope to fully complete the Gooooooal! Challenge in Skate must first understand how slam distance works, as they will need to reach 25 meters of slam distance during their attempts. Quite simply, slam distance is a measurement of how far the skater travels in either the spread eagle or torpedo pose after the initial impact. This means that any ground that is covered by flopping after a slam does not count towards slam distance.
As such, the trick of the Gooooooal! Challenge is to primarily traverse the distance from the beginning of the slam (the top of the skateshop roof) to the end of the slam (the inside of the dumpster) in either the spread eagle or torpedo pose, rather than doing so with flops. For full clarity, here are the inputs that players can use when airborne to assume the spread eagle and torpedo poses:
- Spread Eagle: R1 + X (PlayStation) | RB + A (Xbox)
- Torpedo: R1 + Circle (PlayStation) | RB + B (Xbox)
Strategy
Now that players have an understanding of how slam distance works, here is that strategy that they should use to complete the Gooooooal! Challenge:
- Push hard toward the ramp and ollie off the end.
- When airborne, immediately spread eagle, and position the blue and yellow impact circle around the star on the top of the skateshop roof.
- When the impact circle is in that position, switch to a torpedo to get a big bounce from slamming into the roof.
- At the top of the bounce, spread eagle and push the left joystick hard in the direction of the dumpster to glide into it.
This approach to the Gooooooal! Challenge can be seen demonstrated in the preceding video.
To note, it is possible to complete this challenge by traversing the space between the roof and the dumpster with a series of spread eagles, torpedoes, and flops. However, it is difficult to consistently accumulate slam distance with this method, which is why it is recommended that Skate players travel from the roof to the dumpster with a single spread eagle.
