How to Get Acacia in Skull and Bones

Ubisoft's seafaring pirate adventure game Skull and Bones tasks players with building an infamous reputation from sea rat to kingpin of the Indian Ocean. As you traverse the vast waters, plunder settlements, and sink rival ships, you will loot and harvest your way to legend status as you, your ship, and your crew become the most feared pirates to ever sail the seas.

A major factor in the development of your character and ship in Skull and Bones lies in the collection, management, and use of the various resources available to you, from crafting materials and food all the way to high-quality fabrics to don your pirate in memorable garbs. Resource collection is at the heart of the game. You'll be tasked with harvesting materials from the beginning of your adventure, so we will go through how to locate and harvest Acacia, one of the more common resources found in Skull and Bones.

How to Find Acacia in Skull and Bones

Acacia is one of many resources you can track and harvest in Skull and Bones and the key is to understand the game's map and what each symbol means. However, should you find something unfamiliar on the map, you can simply hover over the icon to reveal what lies in that area of the world. Acacia is one of the more distinct and easily recognizable symbols on the map, as the symbol is quite literally a tree with green leaves. Any tree icons you see on your map indicate that there are Acacias in that area ready to be cut down.

If you are taking part in the early resource missions that require you to find Acacia, it is worth noting that you won't find this tree while walking through Sainte-Anne, but you will not need to venture far to find the resource. To locate and track its whereabouts, simply hover over the tree symbol on your map and hit the Mark button indicated on the legend at the bottom of the map screen.

How to Harvest Acacia in Skull and Bones

Once you have located an Acacia tree, it is a simple matter of approaching it and playing through the mini-game to harvest it. As you bring your ship close to an Acacia tree, you will be prompted in-game to press the indicated button to begin harvesting, which is the Triangle button on PS5. From there, you will need to time your sawing correctly to maximize the amount you collect and avoid failing the activity altogether.

Once the harvesting mini-game starts, you will see an icon shaped like a wood saw with yellow and green sections on it as the saw begins to move from one side to another. With each stroke, you will need to press the indicated button at the right time to harvest the Acacia successfully. You will be successful if you press it in the yellow zone, but you will receive bonus resources if you continuously hit the button in the green zone. With each harvesting attempt, you can only miss the yellow and green zones three times before the game ends in failure.
