If you're stepping foot into Skull and Bones for the first time with early access or otherwise, there are a few core things to know about Ubisoft's pirate game and how its world works. After being thrown into an intense ship battle, getting rescued at sea, and sailing around a bit to loot some supplies, you will probably want to know how to save in Skull and Bones. It's also probably the case that you will have some more burning questions about Skull and Bones when starting out in its open-world seas, but for those looking to protect the precious progress they make, learning how to save should be the main priority.
Skull and Bones: How to Fast Travel
Find out how to fast travel in Ubisoft's Skull and Bones so your crew can hop from island to island in an instant.
While Skull and Bones has a structured menu system that details helpful settings and information about features like combat and resources, the game doesn't explicitly state how and where to save one's game progress. Fortunately, there is a simple explanation why that makes saving in Skull and Bones very straightforward.
How To Save In Skull And Bones
Learning how to save in Skull and Bones is simple enough, as the game automatically saves your progress in a single game file. Once you've had your fill of plunder for the day, you can save your game by simply selecting the 'Quit to Main Menu' option in the pause menu.
There is actually no menu option that enables you to save manually or start a new game file, which means that there's currently no way to reset your progress or start a new game from the beginning. That said, if you played Skull and Bones early through the open beta, your progress there carries over to the main until Infamy Brigand ranking (Tier 6, Rank 1).
Upon returning to Skull and Bones, select 'Continue' in the main game menu to resume your pirate adventures. And that's about it. After loading back into the game, you will spawn wherever you left off before quitting out.
Skull and Bones: How To Repair Your Ship
Players will partake in furious naval battles in Ubisoft's Skull and Bones. Here is how to make repairs to your vessel.
For instance, if you change character appearance in Skull and Bones before quitting, you’ll appear at the location you were at last, equipped with your new pirate gear and accompanied by sounds of applause if you’re spawning at Saint Anne with the beginnings of some Infamy under your belt.
Now that you know how saving works Skull and Bones, you can rest easy in the knowledge that your treasures and pirate progress are safely stored until you're ready for your next daring adventure across the waves.
