The Falmer Amor consists of body armor, gauntlets, boots, a helmet, and a shield. The armor is available in two variants with the Skyrim DLC, Dawnguard. Players not sure where to look for the armor will find this guide to be right up their alley. Here, players will learn how to get the Falmer Armor along with other helpful tidbits.

How to Get Falmer Armor in Skyrim

Falmer Heavy Armor Set

As mentioned earlier, the Falmer Armor is available in two variants, which are:

  1. Falmer Heavy Armor
  2. Falmer Hardened Armor

Players can get the Falmer Armor from either of these locations:

  • The Falmer Armor set can be found in Mzinchaleft Depths, where it sits on a table at the top of a ramp locked behind a Dwemer gate. It is worth noting the Dwemer gate will need to be unlocked using lock-picks. Additionally, the Falmer Armor set will only be available once 30 days have passed in the game.
  • Players can find the Flamer Armor east of the Raldbthar Deep Market entrance, behind the top of the Derelict Pumphouse south of Blackreach. The armor will be located on the floor of a Falmer cabin.

All Falmer Armor pieces are upgradeable with Chaurus Chitin using the workbench. Players can enhance improvements made to the armor with the Advanced Armors perk, but that was not always the case. Before the release of the Dawnguard DLC, the improvements were enhanced via the Steel Smithing perk instead.

The Falmer Helmet does not benefit from Smithing perks.

Falmer Armor Stats

As unusual as the armor may seem due to its lack of eye slits, the player will still easily see their surroundings. Players that want to determine whether the Falmer armor is worth their time should check out the following stats:

  • Falmer Armor – 31 Armor, 20 Weight, 275 Value.
  • Falmer Helmet – 10 Armor, 5 Weight, 25 Value.
  • Falmer Boots – 12 Armor, 4 Weight, 55 Value.
  • Falmer Gauntlets – 12 Armor, 4 Weight, 55 Value.
  • Falmer Shield – 28 Armor, 15 Weight, 10 Value.

The Falmer Armor has a higher armor rating when compared to the Dwarven Shield, even though Dwarven Armors have higher ratings than Falmer Armor.
