How to Get Dwarven Metal Ingot in Skyrim

It's not possible to find ore for Dwarven Metal. Instead, you need to find ready-made Dwarven Metal Ingot or items made from it in Skyrim. In addition, some merchants and blacksmiths after level 6 can sell you these Ingots.

The best place to find this metal is the Dwarven ruins scattered throughout Skyrim. In them, you can find both the Dwarven Metal Ingot you need and various Dwarven scrap metal. Fortunately, many ruins have plenty of the latter. And since some Dwarven scrap metal can become 5 Dwarven Metal Ingots after smelting, this is the best way to farm this resource.

We recommend you visit the Nchuand-Zel and Mzulft ruins, as they contain a large amount of Dwarven scrap metal. If you want to find safer ruins, you should check out the Dwarven Storeroom, which is southeast of Windhelm. It is also important to note that Dwarven scrap metal is quite heavy, so you should take a companion with you to carry some of your loot.

Finally, find one of the Smelters, like the one near Raven Rock Mine. Smelt down all your Dwarven scrap metal, and you will receive dozens of Dwarven Metal Ingots in Skyrim. And here's how many Ingots each scrap metal can produce:
