Skyrim has many potions that can aid the Dragonborn during their playthrough. Players can use Alchemy to make these potions themselves instead of spending large amounts of gold at shops. Making potions raises the alchemy skill and the potions can be sold for high prices.Players looking to use Light Armor can also create Fortify Light Armor potions for a temporary buff. This will raise the Light Armor skill for a set amount of time and increase armor ratings. Players can use this potion to prepare for difficult fights in Skyrim. Fortify Light Armor Ingredients
Ingredients can be bought at Alchemy Stores throughout Skyrim. Store inventories will cycle after time has passed. Some ingredients are rarer and won't show up often at vendors.
- Beehive Husk - These can be harvested from beehives. Four can be found near the Honeystrand Cave south of Ivarstead. Husks cannot be found at Alchemy stores.
- Hawk Feathers - Up to three feathers can be looted off a single dead hawk. They can be shot down using bows and arrows. There are many hawk nests around the East Empire Company Warehouse in Solitude.
- Honeycomb - Honeycombs are also harvested from beehives. Similar to husks they are not sold at Alchemy stores. Players may receive them along with husks by looting the beehives near Honeystrand Cave.
- Luna Moth Wing - Two wings will be looted whenever the Dragonborn catches a Luna Moth. These moths come out at night between 8 pm and 11 pm throughout Skyrim. Many can be found in and around the town of Rorikstead at night. Look for the pale blue fluttering bugs and click to catch them when close.
- Skeever Tail - These drop from the disease-ridden Skeever rat enemies that are present in the dungeons and sewers of Skyrim. Tails can also be found in spider web sacs. Eight can be found in Fort Dunstad's Commander Quarters south of Dawnstar. Four can be found in spider sacs in the basement of Honningbrew Meadery near Whiterun.
How to Make A Fortify Light Armor Potion
Bring any combination of two ingredients to an Alchemy Table. Combine the ingredients to make a Potion of Fortify Light Armor. All ingredients have four effects so read carefully. The final potion may have some debuffs along with the Fortify Light Armor effect. Try out different combinations and a third ingredient to make better potions. Continue crafting to level up the Alchemy Skill and the potions will gain stronger effects.
