To make marriage with Serana possible, fans should use the Marriable Serana mod made by C0drm0nk33 and available on Nexus Mods. To install this mod, follow the step below:

  • Foremost, make sure to have the Dawnbreaker DLC installed or either Special or Anniversary Edition of Skyrim.
  • Go to the Nexus Mods website, find the Marriable Serana mod there and download the files.
  • Extract everything in the downloaded folder to the folder with the game. (If using Steam, to open the game folder, find Skyrim in the library, right-click on it, select Manage category, and click on Browse Local Files)
  • If using a PS4/PS5 or Xbox Series version, it is also possible to mod the game within the game’s mod menu.
  • After that, players can proceed to marry Serana.

To marry Serana, it is necessary to complete the Bonds of Matrimony quest first. To begin this quest, talk to Maramal at the Temple of Mara in Riften.
