The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim gives players the freedom to choose how they want to fight their enemies. They can use Skyrim's epic magic system, or craft themselves powerful weapons and gear. Gamers could even decide to battle using only their fists. Because of the numerous ways in which players can defeat their foes, it should come as no surprise that a Reddit user recently uploaded a clip of a legendary long-range bow shot.

The best bows in Skyrim are capable of paralyzing enemies or blocking out the sun, but players don't need powerful weapons to make great shots. Indeed, it is possible for players to destroy their enemies with even the simplest weapons, as the Reddit video illustrates.

User FusterCluck37's clip on the Skyrim subreddit shows a player on the top of a mountain near Bleak Falls Barrow. Without running any of Skyrim's mods, the gamer seamlessly fires an arrow across a valley to kill a bandit outside of the barrow. The bow is a simple hunter's bow paired with steel arrows, which perfectly demonstrates the fact that gamers don't need the rarest items in The Elder Scrolls 5 in order to become powerful or to reach high levels.

Whether playing Skyrim: Anniversary Edition or the standard game, players all have equal access to legendary bows and locations for long-range shots. While it is also possible to use spells, staffs, or crossbows to attack foes from a distance, archery is undoubtedly one of the most satisfying ways to fight in-game. And, thanks to progression with archery skills, players can unlock slow-motion zooming, stamina boosts when aiming, and even damage boosts similar to the critical attack displayed in FusterCluck37's Reddit video. And, though gamers don't need to have powerful weapons, these items can make archery an even more deadly trait.

The Elder Scrolls 5 has been available for more than a decade, but that doesn't mean fans aren't still having new experiences or sharing cool things. From difficult long-range shots to building a house out of cheese in Skyrim, the title's large community continues to prove its passion. As Bethesda continues to produce new games and begin new projects, such as ones that fans might see at an upcoming showcase, gamers should remember that Skyrim has had a dedicated fanbase since it was originally released in 2011. No matter what the next phase of The Elder Scrolls franchise brings, Skyrim will remain beloved by the gamers who continue to play and share their favorite moments.

The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
