A player has shared an eye-widening but generous donation they gave to a merchant in The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim, with items totaling nearly one million gold. Skyrim has been a sprawling playground for fantasy fans since its release back in 2011, where players take control of the Dragonborn, whose mission is to defeat the dragon Alduin the World-Eater and explore the titular province in the continent of Tamriel.
Despite Bethesda shadow-dropping The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion Remastered, gamers still have their sights firmly set on the next chapter in The Elder Scrolls series, and fans hope The Elder Scrolls 6 settles one popular fan theory among a long list of other expectations. The sixth installment was confirmed by the developer to have left pre-production, and despite it being very early in the development stage, Bethesda mentioned the team was eyeing a release in “2026 or later.”
Highly Anticipated Skywind Mod for Skyrim Gets New Demo
The highly anticipated Skyrim mod Skywind gets a brand-new gameplay demo, offering fans a look a new gameplay.
Posted on Reddit by Kribix_, a screenshot was shared on the Skyrim subreddit showing the player’s transaction with the merchant Adrianne Avenicci. The scene showed the player offering a transaction value of 935802 gold, when the vendor had zero gold in the bank. The caption that accompanied the exchange read, “Consider it a donation.” Skyrim players can make gold fast thanks to a few methods, through exploring and by staying in town, and this player must have a technique of their own to give away a staggering amount of items for free.
Skyrim Player Donates Items Worth Nearly One Million Gold to Vendor
The community consistently shares tips to get the most out of gameplay, including one Skyrim player who discovered a violent merchant trick, and fans certainly had a lot to say about the player’s donation. One Redditor made a sound point, noting it was a shame that Skyrim never implemented a barter system, like the ones featured in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic series Fallout. Others wasted no time complimenting Adrianne’s charm and admitted they liked to give her a tip on top of selling Daedric mail.
Skyrim’s vendors offer players’ Dragonborn the chance to buy and sell items, and they’re usually located in every town or city between 8 am and 8 pm, while some are available all day. Thanks to the merchants' item generator, a new inventory is offered for each save or character created, and there are different types of vendors too, including Alchemists, Blacksmiths, and Food Merchants. Skyrim hosts several merchants to visit, and some of the best include the traveling merchants Ma'dran and Ri'Saad, Raven Rock’s Fethis Alor, and Markarth’s Ghorza Gra-Bagol.
