An unlucky Skyrim player online has discovered a silly glitch in-game that appears to be shrinking their Dragonborn indefinitely. If this Skyrim glitch doesn't go away for this player, there'll soon be nothing left of their main character.
Skyrim is very much a Bethesda game, in that there are plenty of glitches being discovered by players. Even almost 13 years after the game's release, fans are still finding little issues, although most of the game-breaking bugs have long been patched out at this point. At this point, most of the new Skyrim bugs tend to be on the funnier side, which can actually create unique memories for players in their own way. There was even one cute Skyrim bug that replaced all of Riverwood's NPCs with dogs, which some would definitely argue represents an improvement of the small town.
Redditor BristolSalmon posted an image of their bizarre Skyrim glitch, which appears to show their Dragonborn having shrunk considerably smaller than the NPCs around them. While most made jokes about the situation, another looked on the more positive side, pointing out that being smaller means arrow shots now miss easier with a smaller hitbox. BristolSalmon seems to be dealing with it well so far, claiming, "it looks so funny when I’m Decked out in heavy ebony armor." However, there is one cause for concern. According to the player, "if my eyes are seeing right I’m getting smaller still," so there could be nothing left of their Dragonborn soon enough.
Skyrim Shrinking Dragonborn Glitch
When it was suggested that BristolSalmon could use Skyrim console commands to resolve their issue quickly, it was revealed that they're playing on the PlayStation 4 version of the game, so this simply isn't an option for them. Others tried to diagnose how the issue could have happened in the first place, with one gamer wondering if BristolSalmon had accidentally been sleeping in a child's bed. However, they claim to have only slept in Breezehome, so the cause of this glitch remains a total mystery at this point.
With the abundance of Skyrim glitches found over the years, some gamers are naturally curious about the type of issues that will be found in The Elder Scrolls 6. It's a Bethesda game, so there's bound to be some bugs here and there. Gamers have yet to discover when The Elder Scrolls 6 will be released or where it will be set in Tamriel. Earlier this year, a Bethesda developer accidentally hinted at The Elder Scrolls 6's setting, but this isn't a complete confirmation of where the game will take place.
