Skyrim: Best Glowing Mushroom Farming Spots

Skyrim: Glowing Mushroom

Here’s the list of the top 10 best spots to farm glowing mushrooms, ranked from best to worst:

Tolvald’s Cave

As soon as you enter, you’ll see glowing mushrooms literally everywhere. Once you fully clear the place, you’ll get a total of about 200-300 mushrooms out of clusters, plus ten already harvested samples. To get to Tolvald’s Cave, go north from Riften.

Frostflow Abyss

Farming this cave under Frostflow Lighthouse in Winterhold will leave you with a total of 90-100 glowing mushrooms from plants, plus three harvested samples, which shows how good Tolvald’s Cave is for mushroom farming. You’ll find the cave under Frostflow Lighthouse, which is located west of Winterhold on the coast.

Lost Echo Cave

This small cave by the northwestern coast of Haafingar has glowing mushrooms in the entry tunnel. There, you will find a total of about 50-60 from plants, plus 10 harvested samples. To find the cave, travel west from Solitude.

Shimmermist Cave

While this cave to the northeast of Whiterun has a decent amount of glowing mushrooms, it is also occupied by Falmer, which makes it sort of hard to clear for a low-level player. But, if you manage to clear it, you’ll be leaving with a total of about 50-60 glowing mushrooms, much like the Lost Echo Cave.

Gloomreach Cave

This medium-sized Cave in the Reach is filled with chaurus and Falmer. But the glowing mushrooms and Chaurus egg yield make it somewhat worth it. Overall, this cave contains 40-45 glowing mushrooms. Go southeast from Old Hroldan Inn to find this cave.

Liar’s Retreat

A small cave in the Reach will provide you with 36 glowing mushroom plants and three harvested samples, which makes it a good place to visit. You’ll find this cave by going southwest from Cliffside Retreat and northeast from Karthwasten.

Chillwind Depths

This medium cave at the border of Hjaalmarch and the React is infested with frostbite spiders, chaurus, and Falmer and has 35 mushroom plants. It's not the best cave for low-level players, though. Go south from Dragon Bridge to get there.

Greenwall Cave

It is located underneath Fort Greenwall in The Rift and contains 34 glowing mushroom plants.

This creepy crypt near Forelhost contains 30 glowing mushroom plants.
