Sledgehammer Games gives Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 players can update regarding the recently discovered "Snaking 2.0" exploit which has been causing issues for console players. Modern Warfare 3 is no exception to this either, with Call of Duty players reporting various issues such as the daily challenges not tracking progression and requesting certain quality of life changes to improve the overall experience.

Lately, one of the more disruptive issues with the multiplayer side of the game is with a technique originally found on PC which the community has named "Snaking 2.0." Evolving from the original snaking method used in previous Call of Duty games, this new version lets keyboard and mouse users essentially slide across the ground like a snake in a prone position at sprint speeds. With crossplay enabled, this technique has quickly been ruining matches, especially for players on console, which has prompted a very fast response from the development team.

Before things get too out of hand with this latest glitch, the official Call of Duty Updates social media account posted an update to the community, acknowledging the exploit and that it is actively investigating potential fixes. The message also posted a link to the Call of Duty Trello board and the specific task so interested players can continue to follow the progress made by the development team. At the time of writing, the task is still set to investigating, though many fans are hopeful this can be patched out fairly quickly.

Responses to the social media post ranged from surprise at how quickly the Modern Warfare 3 team was moving against this exploit, to others who were maybe a little disappointed. Others posted their own videos of the Snaking 2.0 happening during their specific matches,and even the official Sledgehammer Games account got in on the replies by posting a Cross mark and Snake emoji.

Recently, the Sledgehammer Games team has been fairly open about what players can expect for the near future of the game. It began with a tease of new maps and the return of Gunfight to Modern Warfare 3 in Season 1, but some members of the studio also held an "Ask Me Anything" event on Reddit, fielding questions from fans and players alike. In addition to the confirmation of the fan favorite Shipment map, Sledgehammer also confirmed new quality of life updates like a Stamina Bar, tests for non-disbanding lobbies, and more.
