Smite 2 is a third-person MOBA game that has seen multiple Alpha Playtests, the last of which is the 24/7 Closed Alpha set to be live 24 hours, seven days a week. In Smite 2, players can try out any of the 23 Gods. These Gods have entirely different kits, allowing players to play them in different roles or lanes.
Laning in Smite 2 plays a significant role in overcoming the enemies and winning the match. The game shares the same system as Smite 1, so veteran players will have an edge over the newer ones.

All Lanes In Smite 2
There are three lanes in Smite 2, and understanding the role of each lane can be your path to victory. For new players, choosing which role they are best suited to can be challenging, so it is best to try out all the gods and stick with the one that suits their playstyle. Even though you can play most Gods in any lane, most have designated roles in which they shine more. The roles are the same as they were in Smite 1, so many players will have a good understanding of how they work. The Arena in Smite is extensive, and each team comprises five players. There are two lanes on each side and a lane in the middle.
Solo Lane
This is the smallest lane of three because of the shorter distance between the two towers. Now, depending on whether you get an orange side or blue, it can be difficult to spot which is which early on. An easy way to do this is by checking the map and seeing where the Fire Giant is located. This is marked by a large red-ish circle on one side. Solo Lane is for tank or Bruiser gods that can defend the Towers and aid the Jungle if needed.
Duo Lane
The second lane is Duo Lane, which is opposite Solo Lane. This is slightly bigger than the Solo Lane and has a Gold Fury near it, making it easy to distinguish. As the name suggests, the Duo Lane is meant for two players, the Carry and the Support, who fight against the two enemy players. Carries are usually auto-attacking hunters who build crit items to take down the tanks. On the other hand, the Support can be an engage tank that starts a fight with the enemy team or simply be present to peel the ally Carry.
Mid Lane
Finally, the Middle Lane is where most of the fighting occurs. This lane mainly consists of Mages that do burst damage and fight for the mid-control. The distance between the towers and the Pheonix is quite short, making it an integral lane. The Mid Lane can lead into the Jungle from each side, allowing the Jungler to gank the middle lane from any side and give advantage to the ally Midlaner.
What Is The Importance of The Jungle
The Jungler is the final role in Smite and the most unique out of all the rest. The Jungler does not start on any lane; instead, it goes into the Jungle and farms the Jungle Camps. These jungle camps drop different buffs useful to different Gods and roles at different times in the game. Each jungle camp has a distinct appearance, making players quickly understand what buff each gives. As the Jungle leads into all of the lanes, this allows the Jungler to rotate to different lanes to help out their team and get free kills that can enable them to scale.
Aside from the ganks, it is also the job of the Jungler to ask for help from the laners and initiate Gold Fury and Fire Giant, which give massive buffs that can change the outcome of the fights. Defeating the Gold Fury three times gives three different buffs, and it transforms into the Ancient Fury.
