As the anticipation builds for the upcoming release of Smite 2, fans of the original instalment to the franchise are being rewarded in a number of ways for their loyalty to the game. While players will unfortunately not be able to take many of their favorite skins with them into the sequel, Titan Forge Games have found alternative ways to express their gratitude to the players who have stuck by Smite over its decade-long tenure.

In preparation for Smite 2, both new and experience players of this popular MOBA alike are able to establish a link between the two games and already earn some in-game rewards before its release. While players wait for the next-gen release of Smite, it would be beneficial to know how to link your Smite account to Smite 2 and start earning those rewards now.

There are two main methods in which you can link your Smite account to Smite 2 - either via the official website or by going in-game into Smite.

Players can link their Smite account to Smite 2 via the official website. To do this, you'll need to visit the official Smite 2 website and click on "Link Accounts". From there, you will be directed to a page whereby you can log in using the platform you have an existing account on - from Steam, Xbox, PlayStation, or Epic Games. It is worth noting that, unlike the original Smite, cross-progression will be enabled on Smite 2, so you can link multiple accounts.

The first account you link to should be your primary account from Smite, as switching to a new one will essentially mean you are starting over again on Smite 2. For long-term players of Smite, this would mean missing out on the bonuses you've earned for the hours you've played and gems you've spent.

What may be a more convenient way to link your Smite account to Smite 2 is to do so while in the game itself. You can do this from the main menu by going to the "Divine Legacy" option and navigating to the right side of the screen where it prompts you to link the accounts together. Simply go into this option, follow the prompts, and your account will be linked. To ensure it works, be sure to navigate back to the Divine Legacy page again, as there will be a green tick if it works.

The Divine Legacy section of Smite is a way for players to track their progress toward exclusive Smite 2 rewards, which are namely a number of skins for playable gods like Loki, Bacchus, and Ymir.
