Hi Rez Studios and Titan Forge Games are aiming to launch a number of closed testing periods to its fanbase as a means of continuing to polish and improve the game before launch. The first of these will be running from May 30, 8pm ET but there is hope that there will be a continued flow of testing periods each month, right up until launch. If the test is to go as long as the first one, players can expect the alpha to run for approximately 48 hours.

How To Play Smite 2 Alpha Tests

Smite-2-Editions

There are two methods in which players can get themselves into the closed testing periods for Smite 2 - either by registering their interest or by purchasing the Founder's Edition of the game.

To register your interest, you can visit the official Smite website and fill in the form on the home page. You can also request access on Steam if you are playing on PC by going to the Smite 2 page in the store and clicking "Request Access". Once registered, you simply need to await an email from the developers with a game key that will enable you access to the Alpha.

Alternatively, if fans are certain they want to play Smite 2 when it comes out, then there is always the option to pre-order the game by purchasing the Founder's Edition. There are 3 tiers of the Founder's Edition, but all of them will grant access to the Alpha testing periods, as well as the full game once it comes out.

To play the Alpha Test, you will need to ensure you have it downloaded on your console or PC. For this, you'll need the program titled "Smite 2 Playtest", not the regular "Smite 2" that you may have on your account if you purchased the Founder's Edition.
