Smite includes a stacked roster of over 120 gods from a variety of Pantheons, from Greek and Norse to Chinese and Polynesian, each with their own unique set of skills and abilities to use to gain an advantage on the battlefield. In addition to this, players can also customize their favorite god to their heart's desire with a plethora of skins and voice packs available for purchase.

One key feature of Smite is the currency known as Worshipers, which are used as a means of leveling up individual gods to open up further customization opportunities. This serves to reward players for their dedication and loyalty to a certain god, and provides an incentive for them to learn the ins and outs of a particular playable character. For those who aren't quite sure what they are or how to get them, this guide will explain what Worshipers are in Smite and how you can earn them.

What Are Worshipers in Smite?

Worshipers in Smite are a currency specific to each individual character, and serve as a means of tracking how far a player has progressed with a god. As you're not obligated to stick to a select few gods in the game, your Worshiper quantities will vary from one character to another and will depend entirely on how frequently you take to the battlefield with them.

As players spend more time with a particular god, their Worshiper numbers will continue to increase and, as a result, so too will their mastery level with them. As your mastery level with a god increases, you'll have access to exclusive skins and other cosmetic items specific to the god you're leveling up with.

Activate Boosters

In addition to earning them in a match, players can also get additional Worshipers in this popular MOBA if they or one of their teammates applies a Worshiper Team Booster prior to a match. If you have one in stock, you can use it by selecting the Boosters option in the pre-game lobby, and activate the Worshiper Team Booster. This will award all players on the team double the number of Worshipers in the next match.

On top of the Team Boosters, players can also purchase Account Boosters that can run for one, three, or 30 days, depending on which one you purchase. The prices are 100 gems for one day, 300 for three days, and 500 for 30 days, so the latter is the best value for your resources. These boosters won't just impact on Worshiper numbers, but nonetheless will grant you an additional 25% from your matches, which can be stacked with the Team Boosters. You can find Account Boosters in the Boosters section of your Profile, which is found in the main menu.

Participate in Events

As Smite is a live-service game, it undergoes frequent updates, which includes a number of themed events, generally at random intervals. Among their event schedule, the team behind the game occasionally drop a timed event that will give players double, or even triple, the number of Worshipers for the duration of the event. Be sure to keep an eye on the official Smite X page for updates and information on when these types of events happen.
