The fifth mission in Sniper Elite: Resistance features a Kill List objective that centers around eliminating Eloi Coste. While fans are free to dispatch that foe in many ways, those that kill Eloi Coste with an LMG will unlock a special reward: the Trench Gun. Sniper Elite Resistance: Kill Eloi Coste with an LMG
Get an LMG
The first step towards killing Eloi Coste with an LMG is obtaining the requisite weapon. This is a fairly simple undertaking, as an MG42, a light machine gun, can be found on a table in the building where Eloi Coste resides. Specifically, that table is in the bottom-right corner of the building's second floor, and its position has been marked on the following maps.
While the Kill List objectives in previous missions encourage players to keep their target in a neutral state, it is not critical that they do so when pursuing Eloi Coste. Indeed, fans of stealth games will ultimately enter direct combat with the target, and it is thus not particularly problematic if they get Coste's attention on their way to picking up the LMG.
That said, it is quite easy to reach the LMG without altering Coste and his companions, and players who prefer a methodical approach may want to pursue this opportunity. To stealthily reach the MG42, fans of sniper games should enter the building through an open window in its top-left corner. Players who pass through that window will find themselves at the bottom of a flight of stairs that leads up to the room in which the weapon is housed.
Kill Eloi Coste
With the MG42 equipped, players must simply use it to kill Eloi Coste. If the target has been kept in a neutral state, he will be standing in a room on the first floor of the building, and fans can enter that room and fire the LMG at Coste and his guards to complete this Kill List task in Sniper Elite: Resistance. If the player has lost track of Coste, they may want to leave the area, giving him time to return to neutral, and then check the room again.
