Solo Leveling dropped its second season earlier this year, and it is safe to say that it is easily one of the most loved anime out there. Solo Leveling Season 2 broke all records one could think of, and even went on to do the unthinkable by making Solo Leveling the most-watched anime in the history of Crunchyroll, something that nobody would've expected it to do. More than that, Solo Leveling Season 1 also won Anime of the Year, which was yet another surprise for the fans. While anime like Frieren were also nominated, it was Solo Leveling that ended up taking all the glory at the end of the day, and one cannot say that it wasn't absolutely deserved.
But, Solo Leveling is most definitely not going to be on top forever. The world of anime is incredibly diverse and each year, authors drop spectacular works that blow the fans away. This year, too, fans have just received a new anime that has now already beaten Solo Leveling when it comes to anime ratings.

While Takopi's Original Sin is nowhere close to being an anime similar to Solo Leveling, it most certainly is very impressive. The series doesn't offer any action to the fans, nor does it have the groundbreaking pacing and high-octane battles. But, what it does show the fans is sadness, pain, grief, and trauma and it does it far better than Solo Leveling.
It's Time To Meet A Solo Leveling Character Even Stronger Than Sung Jinwoo
Jinwoo is strong, but he has yet to become the strongest character in the Solo Leveling anime.
Takopi's Original Sin just has 6 episodes, but it is already one of the most loved anime of this year. It isn't talked about as much as Solo Leveling, which is criminal, but it most certainly is being rated incredibly highly by those who do watch it. Consistently getting 9s and higher scores from the fans is absolutely incredible for a series with just 6 episodes.
Takopi's Original Sin Is Beating Solo Leveling In Ratings
Takopi's Original Sin is not expected to drop more episodes, but its short run was enough to, undoubtedly, make it one of the best anime of 2025. Of course, it couldn't win the awards that Solo Leveling took due to dropping just recently, but any sensible anime watcher would know that this year, Solo Leveling was beaten by a better, and much more mature anime.
